Well

I am not sure what the least stressful way would be to get 44 years worth of 1200cc home.

Both for the car and me.

Do I fly to Porto and try find the nearest ferry from  Arouca where it is.

Go on @hairnet get me a basic cost and agenda from Rochester here in Kent.

gatwick to porto bus to him (heem) then ferry from bilbao - ferry not cheap baws but less stress than bimble ala grizz en jardin du kent

That looks very similar to Father Longbridge's Ultra Horizon which he owned in the early 80s, right down to the wheel trims if I remember correctly. Strong money for a relatively unloved motor, mind.

Sadly there are very few motorail services left in Europe now, up until 2019 you could get a car-train from Avignon and further south to Paris to make collecting a particularly slow old heap easier.

https://www.seat61.com/motorail-trains.htm#OBB motorail

However, just looking now - there is still a motorail service between Turkey and Austria for those after an Anadol, which also passes through the Balkans for all your Zastava needs...

Oh, 1967 Datsun Bluebird, I like this a lot

image.jpeg.316a156450c0553b396f767bbfca63ae.jpeg

Only 1200 euros and a 2580 miles to home trip.

Based on recent adventures on here these are included, possibly handy

Wife is slowly warming up to the idea - gone from WTF are you chatting about to just no. I mean that’s virtually the same as her booking the ferry ticket surely?!

Panelvan or a pickup ❤️

Dont read or understand French.

But pics are pretty.

Something less than half the price. Patina. More realistic.

If you view it on a Google/Android phone - the web page should have an auto translate function.

If that does not work - you can download Google Translate and cut and paste the text directly into the translation page.

Here is the translation:

"Description

Mileage: 90,000 km

I am selling this 403 family from 12/1957 model 58,
The car has no corrosion, floor, rocker panel, jack points... Everything is perfectly healthy. Mechanically ok (the car was driven every day before my purchase). Only the interior needs to be redone."

👍

Google translate is fun.

I once read a description about an Impreza that had "no banging nieces in the back"..

I find it pretty good - they have continued to develop it and iron out the snags. It rarely does something crazy - but if the advertiser uses car jargon and 'shorthand' or slang - it can trip it up.

Some way out in the countryside French also use dialect which spells differently.

Thats a bit (LOT) of me for sure.

Suspect it will be too wide for my driveway though.

Really like it.

Too wide?

thats why its a walk through, for those of us with girlishly narrow driveways.

This was not Commer’s first rodeo 😉
