Strangest stuff you have ever found in a new (old) car

I have just cleaned out my new (old) Scenic and found a jumble of stuff hidden away in it.A load of tapes including Simply Red and an audio guide to Knowlsley Safari Park.A machete pouch (no machete unfortunately)What appears to be a catheter kit or something. Its a mask with a tube.A rubber fishWhat looks like an Indiana Jones action figure whip (or similar action figure)A wallet with a Barclaycard which expired in 2006.1 sock for children aged 4-5.This is just general tat. However, it got me wondering what the oddest things people on here have found in their many years of car buying?

have you tried out the mask + catheter kit yet ? the only interesting thing I found was a bloody great Bowie knife under the upright spare wheel in one of the Renault 12's spare location.(let us know how you get on with the rubber fish and the sock too........ )

i found a (face shield) in my car... basically a little polythene mask for giving mouth to mouth to prevent germs being caught :D oh! and £1.24 in coppers in the ashtray

Two thirds empty nodder packets, a lifetime's collection of half used sweets and an extremely scary cassette tape. The tape was basically some SRSLY weird girl or women sort of mumbling along to a Brittney Spears song. Imagine an escaped mantal patient, who can't actually talk after overdosing on Prozac, doing 'whooohoooo' noises and you'd be somewhere near it.It's probably still in a million pieces on the A41.Aside from that the usual array of God bothery type pamphlets, toys, foreign coins, the address to a prison and the odd love letter.

1981 newspaper clipping (floorpan, Amazon).

I found 1989 newspaper clippings in my Imp. Unfortunately they were being used to pad out the filler. Not on a car but when i used to work on the buses, we once found a HUGE box of incontinence pads. It took us about 10 minutes to get them off the bus (until someone suggested we took them out of the emergency exit) as we could not get them through the door, so god knows how they got them on there in the first place.Another time i found my housemate fast asleep, drunk on the top deck*, so we stole his trousers.*I mean he was on the top deck of a double decker not that he was drunk after drinking 80's pop 'makes your breath smell like you have been drinking beer so you can look cool at school discos' drink Top Deck

Found a receipt from a parking meter from the 80's in the Porsche I had. Could imagine it parked in London somewhere by some yuppie.

Previous owner of an old Chevette I bought left a spare battery unsecured in the boot which fell over and when I got it home noticed acid everywhere......Dead mouse in a Mini was another highlight.A mix tape called "1991 Summer in London" which had some half decent stuff on it taped off Robbie Vincents jazz funk show. Had that tape for years!

Bought a BMW 316 for £275, found a CD-rom workshop manual & parts catalogue thing in the door bin. Promptly bootlegged & sold about 100 copies at £4 a pop. 8) Slightly made up for the fact I didn't realise the alloys on the car were worth mega-scene-coin, and the guy who bought it off me for £400 must have been made up.

When I lived in Hull, my my mate Oz had his car stolen and it was used for an armed robbery. Took a few days whilst the police 'did forensics', but eventually he got it back. He was driving it home when he opened the ashtray and there were some shotgun cartridges in the ashtray.....Great forensics lads. We buried them in my mates back garden down Cluff Road. Probably still there now unless they scared the gardener being overly enthusiastic with a spade.

In the scrap BMW a box of books, still have 4 cigarette card albums to put on Ebay but rest were rubbish and a sheaf of letters between the previous owner and the garage and solicitors regarding work paid for and not done which accounted for the bottom half of the car being beyond repair.

Aren't prison jeans and shirts supposed to be worth a lot of money on the outside?
