STOLEN MONDEO TOURING CAR REPLICA

I genuinely have no idea why anyone would steal such a car that sticks out a mile like that does. I can think of a reason, that involves other mondeos and a lot of crashing but I wouldn’t want to offend that “circle”.

Partly stripped out, caged... hmmm, it's not like anyone would be spared a day of preparation work, is it?  And the cost of a new cage...

Somebody needs to meet the local Dirty Harry.

What I would say is both recent stolen MK1's have been non sunroof base models with that extra 'structural rigidity' that may be useful if crashing into another car at 20 mph 🙄

Saloons are better for bangering, especially if you can find a 1.6. I don’t think the sunroof is an issue as you’d plate that anyway. Wouldn’t have thought roll cage would be a distinct advantage as anyone racing them regularly would have the floor plate and a H frame fitted anyway.

Glad you moved?

eh, difficult to say. we did get broken into, but other than that my last year of uni was a proper laugh. compared to rural sussex it has its ups and downs that's for sure.

Behave

it's just a bit of a pain to go out on the beers anywhere late at night without paying an arm and a leg for a taxi!

You'd be surprised at the level of [petty] crime going on in rural Sussex at the moment 🤣

glad its been found so quickly

I once had a 2.8 Capri nicked.. The police rang months later to say it was found and I could collect it from a compound. I asked if it was drivable and they said yes. Got a lift there first thing next morning to find it had no wheels and seats , pretty high up on the list of features to make a care drivable 🤣
