Am not sure if the Capri was Noel's own car or a publicity shot. He was racing Mk1 RS2000s etc at the time.

This is the same Ghia shown with the listed special-order 'Wife And Kids' optional extra. Wife was available blonde, brunette, or redhead. The dog could be specced as a cat. Ford really did think of everything. I think I'd reduce the number of kids ordered to zero though - tick the 'kids-delete' box.

Reminds me of the cheap 3-litre Capris available late 80s and early 90s. Perfect runabout when you're late teens / early 20s.

They could be bought for a few hundred £££, especially once the more economical XR3 / XR2 / RS Turbo / Vorxhalls became affordable. I had my share of V6s and know which I'd prefer. Just jump in and drive it like you stole it, sub 20mpg overall?  -  who cares. Around 1993 I sold a tatty but solid and reliable daily 82 X-reg 2.8i in graphite / strato silver with long MOT for £160.
