Vaguely remember them. Bit before my time.

Fidel Castro and Herr Hoeneker. The car is really bugging me, the chrome windscreen surround and the grab rail on the back of the seat both look very familiar. A ZiL or tatra perhaps.

This might help: Halle-Neustadt in 1972, apparently...

Same car, with Leonid Brezhnev in Berlin, slightly clearer pic.

Thanks for the ZiL confirmation chaps, I recognise it now!

Always amuses me that despite the Soviets' hatred of the Yanks, they were happy to copy their car designs.

Indeed. And reserve their use exclusively for higher level communal comrades*....

Also in Lego 😅

Seems very reminiscent of a 1960s Lincoln Continental and, if you squint just a little, the bonnet badge looks as if it was nicked from a '60s Ford Thunderbird.

Hmm , her name is up on the board outside but it seems to have been blurred with the resolution of the upload

Greek singer and politician Nana Mouskouri

The days when premier league (then div 1), footballers drove ordinary cars not the latest Ferrari or Lamborghini, although  top of the range G Wagons are very  much de riguer just now.

Sure I've told this one before but Robbie James and Tommy Hutchinson both lived but far from me in Caswell when I was a kid and they were both sponsored by Yugo, as Swansea were basically a shit division 3 side 🤣🤣🤣.

I think they had to drive them x number of hours a week as they always looked miserable as fuck going to training in them.

Their cars of choice were the big Merc saloons, equivalent of the s class these days

Never got the attraction with her, not in the slightest.

I can remember someone trying to argue with me she was much fitter than my Mrs of the time..... Who wasn't an international model or claiming to be to be fair 🙄🙄🙄🙄... He of course didn't have a Mrs 🤭🤭🤭

Back in 2008, Portsmouth football club, then a Premier league team, had a Reliant Robin for the players. The worst player each day in training (Plonker of the day), had to drive it home.

It must have worked as some kind of incentive because they won the FA cup that year.

Jasper Carrott with a Panther Lima (and is that an XJS in the background?).

May be an image of car and text that says "YPA60T"
