You’ll be hoping it FTPs before the merc sells? Lol

Congratulations, R75s have their own parking spaces at garden centres and doctors surgeries.

It might be inferior to the Merc but it's got a wooden steering wheel, so... swings and roundabouts.

Self-shifting, leaving a hand or two free for pipe smoking.

Webasto?
I did love mine, but not as roomy as you would expect from an estate.

Diesel heater? Yup… and possibly the most ancient Satnav known…..

Ooh, a Connoisseur auto with the wooden wheel and sat nav - got to be the ultimate 75 spec right there (apart from the V8 obvs).  Well purchased.

You can update the sat nav with a DVD unit from an E46 - the maps for those carried on being updated until 2021.

Ah, but look at it though

Not sure if you've owned a 75 before, but the R75 forum is really good.
Lots of easy mods to do for better ownership experience.,

Inline thermostat, Bonnet Cable tie mod, Handbrake compensator,

Just make sure scuttles drains are clear or ECU bathtime.

That’s a fairly early estate as well. The odd one was on a Y but most production models were registered from 51 on, so your early one will have amongst the least amount of project drive decontenting.

When I had one and the scuttles were clogged I did a fix where I just cut the pipe diagonally at the bottom. Sorted it out a treat.

Apparently, this was a dealer demonstration model, and had pretty much every available extra. Was then sold to a Motorbility customer. Present owner bought it 12 years ago, and has obviously looked after it
