No, I'm pretty sure both the Meldrews and the Buckets had the Rover version. In that colour.

 

Edit: after a quick trawl of IMCDB, I concede that I could possibly be wrong. They seem to think Victor had the Honda indeed. But Richard and Hyacinth definitely had a Rover. So there.

Meldrew deffo had a Ballade, the episode where they were stuck on the motorway for the whole program was on recently, Meldrew stuck his fave casstte on the stereo to pass the time only to find his mechanics had recorded over it with a song about him and his "bloody honda".

I reckon this could be worth a punt. Can't see that it would take long to strip the horrific plastic from the front/sides, remove stickers, fit decent wheels, and fuck that ridiculous back spoiler off and it would be a decent looking thing.

 

It'd have to be cheap, though.

Correct, he did, but even better than the cars discussed.... Victor proved his Shite credentials beyond all doubt right in the first episode! After being fired, he goes to the garage to pick up his car after a service and intoduces himself to the girl in reception... "Victor Meldrew, the Crimson Avenger!" :lol: For me, that's right up there with "Don't tell him, Pike!"

He did indeed, though 'TCP' wasn't his reg number. It was the episode where he kept saying his breath stunk of it, and when he and Margaret had parked up somewhere one night the parking attendant drove a Fiesta with TCP on the plates to him as he thought it was his.

He also had a Mk3 escort that fell off a cliff and a Nissan Almera that he somehow confused with another Almera, fell asleep in and ended up on a car trasporter full of identical Almeras.

Victor's Fiesta was C65 GTB, the attendant brings an identical Pop plus reg C100 TCP because he was "Thinking of something else", think Victor and Margaret had gone to the theatre in this episode but were 12 months early as they checked the date on the tickets but not the year.

The 1st Almera they had carried the Reg P155 OLE; leading to the number plate being stolen regularly, hence why it was in the garage when Victor got into the wrong car before it was loaded onto a transporter.

(You may have deduced that I loved this show and watched it avidly)

ps in one of the xmas specials Victor had a Sierra Sapphire that Angus Deayton got locked in the boot of by a jealous boyfriend, causing them both to be stranded in a remote country house with 'Edwin' the spider.
