Hai! can someone here buy this please? I promise to buy it off you in 6 weeks wether I have a licence or not. Despite being an auto I have totally fallen in love with this car, and it has nothing to do with the fact I have been drinking for the last 9 hours. PLZ???also, this

I actually have a bizarre recurring nightmare in which I own a 6-wheeled Mini Hustler, it been going on for over 10 years. I think it replaces the dream where you forget to wear your trousers to school.

made me groffle so much i spat my fag out of my mouth. Again, nothing to do with my drinking.

Badly "pimped", badly photographed Honda Odyssey anyone?

It's "well decent", apparently, which is an expression I hadn't heard since about 1987.

The fuel pipes are corroded through ( to the extent that they leak) towards the tank end and will need to be replaced. The fuel tank is corroded (leaks) and will need to be replaced or repaired. There are areas of corrosion / rot underneath which require repair / replacement material and a fair bit of welding. As far as I can remember tell these are along the sills (driver side particuarly) and rear wheel arches , plus the area around the fuel tank.....

URGH, I bet thats a right hangin old mess under there!

I am really surprised at how many old cars there are for sale in France compared to when you look on e-bay in this country!

That's 'cos the climate in (most of) France is a lot less conducive to corrosion than it is in damp old Blighty. Old French tin in particular tended to start dissolving within minutes of arriving here, which is why my Alpine is supposedly one of only 15 left on the road here, where there's hundreds of rust-free 1310s in France.

I guessed that the south would have a better climate, wasn't so sure about the north to be honest. We had an 8 year old Renault 14 in the mid eighties which was totally rotton, you could actually hear the flakes of rust falling off it, if you brushed past it! Not yet visited France but am seriously thinking about importing an old car from there. I wonder if they are also more tolerant of older cars over there?

Is it your beige Alpine which is for sale on Car and Classic?

Listed just as a 1300, I reckon it could be a RS1600i?

Posted Image

I like those flat face alloys they come with, wonder if it's got them.

Ugh.

Still, take off the saxo wheels and crap bodykit - you could probably have it back to standard and have a reasonable runabout.

Bollocks..

Admittedly it could be a lot worse, but still.. I was genuinely expecting an RS1600i rep.

I think those early 3-door ones are meant to have more in common with the MK1 than the MK2, the Haynes book has a supplement for them (but not the 4-door). If so they'll be an unexpectedly ace drive, the handling is so much fun on mine, you spin the wheel like mad and the little tyres cling on better than you'd expect.
