'Do not miss out on this genuine life changing business.'

If your life change plan includes a Sooty and Sweep van with some old caravan bits lobbed in the back then you're fricking mental and should be locked away.

He might just as well type 'don't bother bidding' and nothing else.

Buying old cars is, as that bloke states, not for everyone. You do get idiots trying, often armed with a "Practical Classics Buying Guide" or similar, to 'ask all the right questions' who feel that because they've read the buyers guide for an MGB they know all there is to know about buying a Moskvitch, Land Rover or Tatra military transport vehicle. The chap who rang me to ask if a 35 year old Rover P6 'had ever been smoked in' was quite obviously a complete arsehole but he wasn't much worse than most of the other muppets who got in touch about it. One bloke got the bus, turned up an hour later than he said he'd be, didn't have the foggiest idea what he was looking at or what he was looking for, didn't have any money and appeared to think that by turning up he was doing me some sort of favour in demanding to go on a 15 mile run in it, keeping me outside for an hour and a half asking me stupid bloody questions and getting me to explain why a 1972 car only had service history going back to 1977. He then, earnestly, offered me under half the asking price, in a fortnight, if his scooter sold in the meantime. But only if his wife approved.

I refuse to deal with these idiots and state it clearly in my ebay listings. It works. They don't call. People who are genuinely interested do.

The first guy who looked at my Kadett moaned that the service history book was incomplete between 1988 and 1992 and asked why it had only covered 3000 miles in that time.

Oh any why it had a respray in its 39 year old life...

Not according to the website, but theres a tab at the top that says Cars For Sale....don't remember seeing the R18 in the collection....may just be a coincidence.

They have loads of stuff in storage I think and seem to rotate the stuff on show every now and then, judging from other photos I've seen of the place. Unless they annexe the pirate ship I doubt they'll be able to fit much more in, although this would be a perfect exhibit

the white citreon van they have for sale looks like it has been battered by giant hailstones

NOTE: I HAVE NOT GOT A PICTURE OF THE BACK OR FRONT VIEW OF THE CAR

BUT BOTH FRONT AND BACK BODY WORK IS FINE , THERE IS NO DAMAGE.

SO PLEASE DO NOT THINK I AM TRYING TO HIDE ANYTHING.

Surely it would just be easier to take a photo of the front and rear?

He's trying to hide something. Plus it's a private listing so his mates are schilling away.

Meanwhile, have a decent looking Granads Scorpio (and not one of those horrific bug eyed ones either) for £795...
