It's in 'Chesire' wherever that is. Probably not a million miles from me as it 'appens. Buy it, pay for the fuel and I'll wheelspin it all the way to your house for a bacon and (runny) egg butty (on toast), 20 L&B and my BFH.

Or stop off in Costa Del RetroAndBollox, buy this and then go for the Manta...

Ooh! I had one of those B120's, Grand truck it was, despite endless abuse towing a trailer up and down the gorge road in the Ardeche. Only ever seen a B120 Minibus over here.

I hope someone more local can save it!

When did the Fiesta come out in the UK? I thought it was 1976 but I have a April 1977 Ford broucure here in front of me and that doesn't cover the Fiesta range yet, It only has this small piece.

Bloody hell, I'm gettingTrigeminal Neuralgia just thinking about that Fiesta. If I hadn't bought the sodding Shitroen of battering ramness I'd be all over that, it's damned good money, looks absolutely ace and isn't far away either.

Have a (potentially) cheap 306 dizzlebang whilst I sob uncontrollably about the Fiesta...

If Wikipedia is to be believed, UK sales started in January 1977. Can't remember the last time I saw a 1970s Fezza.

The guy whose Dolomite I welded up has the receipt for his Grandmother's Mk1 Fiesta dated sometime in January 1977. He does not have the car, unfortunately!

Triggs that Fiesta has your name all over it man! It's well within your budget, they cost pennies to run, are as complex as a knife & fork, and with the cash you have left in your budget, you can get it looking minty fresh

Aye, It would make a great winter project i agree, but as a long term classic it's still not right (God i sound like a broken record!) Selling a 1.2 Kadett to buy a 1.1 Fiesta when i'm after something with a bigger engine wouldn't make sense, Mind you if it was more local (yet again) and not 4 1/2 hours away I would have had a punt on it.

Aren't these an Iveco Daily underneath?

How about this Trigbert? It's on an X so you could pretend it was a 1981, it looks quite nice (stupid spoiler notwithstanding), it's not too far away and it certainly meets your "bigger engine" criterion...

Or this? I'd love a manual 3500 P6. This one's tax exempt too. Not the cheapest though, but good ones of these do seem to be creeping up in price.

This car has been lookaftered very very well

so you can't go wrong really.

(I mean the XJS)

That's a better location but TBH I'm not a fan of XJ-S's, I drove plenty of them back in the late 90's and everyone I drove had problems, manly rust, I'd sooner have a Series 3.

This got me a bit excited last night but i changed my mind after looking at the interior for a while, maybe a bit "Too jazzy"?. (plus it's the other side of the country again  )

Here's an E3. Been stored for a long while but apparently solid, and being registered in early February 1973 it should be tax exempt too. Quite cheap at the moment as well. Being an auto lets it down a bit though.

But A) It's class and B) WTW is an Essex registration, so you'd be bringing it home ;)

I know it (probably) is a colossal money pit but it does look a bloody good buy for the money...

..I expect there's a chance it'll get bummed by a kit car owner at that money. Unless Pete-M can save it?!!
