I should first point out that the car is in South West France at the moment and will be towed back to

Portsmouth on 2nd June to arrive around 1.30pm, unless sold to a bidder on this side of the channel!

Potential winning bidder will need a trailer (no MOT) or other suitable towing equipment and be available to collect

ONLY on this date and time in the UK.

Sounds like a pain in the arse....

I will also require 50% of the final bid transferred directly into my PayPal account before I set off on the 420km journey

Good luck with all that

after seeing a few polo pickup conversions about, i decided that i could make one far better than anyone else, and have !!!!!!!

Oh aye!!! Dont mince your words eh.

even people at my local vw meet think it a caddy at first glance

They must be a knowledgeable bunch.

To be fair it does look like he's bust a gut to mak a nice job of it:

proper tailgate and loadbed floor! Not many DIY pickups can boast that. FAIR PLAY M8

I'm not a fan of some of the shite pick up conversions but have to say that Polo bar the rear window looks the dogs danglies, I'd swap it back to steel wheels though. Wonder if the Doovla now about this conversion or is it a headache waiting to happen..

HOW MUCH???????

Greedy bastard - this car was for sale last year with no MOT for £999.....I know because I nearly bought it till Vek talked me out of it mostly because it was too expensive for what is a truly dreadful car!

I'm quite pleased I'm paying four grand for a seat soiled by Catherine Tate's arse. The rest of the car for a grand seems quite reasonable in comparison.

Erm, you are aware people can bid until the last minute right? Or how this thing called a "reserve" works?

It sounds good with all the expensive work that's been done recently. Probably a £350 car at best though.

i dont no much about vw's ,just what i was told ,could be rear motor ,i dont no???

Hmmmm. Maybe the engine hasn't been removed and he's just looked in the wrong end for it. :)

I'm more inclined to think that he just doesn't know how to spell "rare".

A 1985 American limo that is "ECONOMICAL" and comes with a λ sensor! WTF?!?!?

Maybe he misspelled "COMICAL"?

I wouldn't beat all surprise to see a cat on that chrysler (hence the lamda)

American car makers were well ahead of Europeans as far as emissions shit goes.

hmm...certainly hadn't occured to me. It's not easy to think "enivironmentally friendly" when looking at that beast!

Lots more economical than a Cadillac de Ville or Lincoln Town Car, so perhaps that's what the seller meant. Shame it doesn't have the 2.2 Turbo really.
