Another nice early Hiace, and quite cheap too. Unfortunately I'm not quite brave enough to drive it from Glasgow to Norfolk with no T&T.

I'd have liked a crack at that, they were rather nice to drive and should definitely be preserved.

I'm also quite keen on the Santana, but the Landy's still on the bay and the BX is garnering no interest at all - if I've still got the BX, I don't need the Santana. If I've still got the Landy, I can't afford the Santana!

look at the sellers feedback

I love that Hiace  It's also only about 40 miles away aargh! I'd love an old J-lorry like that for carting shit about in. My dad's always on about wanting a Cabstar - wonder if he'd go for it, hmmmm.

I suspect it and the Datsun 4x4 will find their way to the sunnier climes of Africa however :(

EDIT: OK not in Selby; in Scotland. I'll forget that idea then

The Hiace is in Glasgow according to the description. Last time I bought CCW there were a couple of ads requesting CAbstars for export. I think the Datsun might be too old for export.

I don't think you would like the Santana, it'll drive a lot like a modern car.

Oh, I used drove one of those Falcon Utes around a farm just outside Perth (WA). Went and put it in a ditch. The reason I remember this vividly is it had a column shift and was the first I'd encountered.

The Supermirafiori is now at over a Grand...

DW, do you have a link to more info on your BX?

Binhoker... has competition! 406 is bid up to £102, what a nail-biter!

Anyone remember the (brown?) Galant listed for parts with windows broken?

Maybe this fella has rescued it:

Early and very nice SD1...

...and whilst there's talk of Rovers in the air what happened to P6 prices? I remember when a few hundred quid would get you a half decent one with a fair bit of test but flicking round Moronbay just now they are advertised for big money.

Tell me about it. Three years ago mine (a 3500S in Paprika, with PAS and cow) struggled to get £1800, even though the plate was worth £500ish and it had fresh ticket and ready to go anyplace. Sat in classifieds for months, with nothing but angry old club fellas taking any (initial) interest

Hitching to Aberdeenshire in this weather? Sounds like a challenge!

Here you go KruJoe. Self promotion!

Oooh, thank you. SRSLY tempting. Value an' all.

I do fancy that, however the domestic situation is erm "tight." Let me see what excuses I can come up with. It would also do my sis well, but her teenaged kids would give her stick, I'm sure. She had a 405 estate with the same donk and loved it.

You don't fancy a mildly barried, Pogweasel pink, pov-spec Corsa do you? It misfires. Not selling that well, am I? No? Didn't think it would be your bag. Or a filthy Impreza Spooooorrrrrt (NA)? You've done the Subaru thing, I know.

If I got my shit together and washed it, it might reach near a grand ont' bay.

Pogweasel pink

:evil::cry::cry::cry:

Common usage now, is it not?

There might have to be a submission to the OED for official recognition.
