Do you know what the exterior colour of that Marina is?

I seem remember Tundra being close to that :?

Edit - beaten to it

Wow that Sunny estate is mega-early! X-reg ones are like rocking horse poo. The only other one I've seen is an estate Ratdat had recently. I'd love to find a 2-door of that vintage.

Seven and a half grand???? You've got to be kidding me. I love it and it's great to see such an early low mileage one but shit the bed that's a bit optimistic. There's no way I would pay anywhere near that kind of money for a boggo 70s family car even if it was the one car I really wanted. I reckon £3k is a bit nearer the mark and that's still a bloody lot of money.

I always thought RX was a Reading registration, so the fact it was sold in Croydon is slightly confusing? Unless pre-registered further south beforehand.

RX Reading sounds right, our (2005) mnotorhome has a RX prefix and was bought in Basingstoke.

RX was Reading's registration letters both on the new style number plates (2001-) and old style from 100-odd years ago. I think it's the only place that can claim to have kept its original letters.

Swallowtail tax?

That reminds me of an old guy who used to live down the road from us, he was selling a mk1 Golf and i just happened to mention it to my son, he asked if it was a swallow tail, a what? i asked, he explained that the (single) difference is a crease on the sheet steel below the number plate and this they call "the swallow tale" yes it's very rare apparently so it's worth more money. More bollocks and more bullshit, still the boys into the mk1 dubs will probably pay the scene tax i'm not quite sure they will pay the 7+ k for this one though.

Is a Golf with small tail light clusters automatically a swallowtail or was there another revision in between?

6 wheeked Scamp is indeed ours-being sold for me by family (- works keeping me away)

its fine.Spaceframe is sound, floors are good -enginefree. Came out of the barn remnants recently -so the sheds can get rebuilt -and I'm never now going to use it. Was intended for a chopped roof jobbie for ourflat in southern france- never happened.

Alfettai was totally goosed-but went to Scotlandas spares.

Another 25 or so currently out in the cold...decisions to be made as to whether they go back -or get sold.
