It looks like one of those motorbikes they had to build on Scrapheap Challenge without using any motorbike bits!

It might have worked with just a little more effort.

He got an offer of £1750!!!! WTF?

Thats lovely, a very early one with the black trim too - super rare.

I'm almost tempted if I get the job I'm going for tomorrow to just buy that as a present to myself :D It's only fair?

Words fail me....:shock: Take one of the prettiest cars ever made and then do this to it.... I can't even bring myself to post a picture but here's the link. You have been warned.http://daytona.craigslist.org/cto/1621346673.html

Not a fan of British cars tbh but that's a good argument for bringing the death penalty back.

I think more likely that the front was rotten or smashed, so rather than fork out for a new one, they've turned it into this...

Who mentioned a Nova Antibes...?

Twas me. Oddly enough I was looking at that earlier whilst searching in vain for genuine panels. Fate of mine still hanging in the balance

Looks nice. Not sure what I would use it for, mind.

Was admiring that a while back. A friend who's a radio ham had mast lust

1971 Austin 3-Litre

I can't remember ever seeing one of these on the road before, Can't even remember seeing many come up for sale, It's a bloody great thing!.

And that autobox selector reminds of the one in my old School double decker bus!.

Yeah, they exist. I've driven one. It's like driving a Maxi that's been super-sized. Daftly, it's rear-wheel drive.£6k seems a bit much though. They're horrendously thirsty but despite pretending to be a big executive car, it's got Maxi doors and other BL nasties. Obviously I'd still love one.

£6k is for two of them, He has a spares one in the garage, I bet it's still slow even with a 3.0L lump, I can see them being popular in the 80's for banger racers though.

in daily use on Veg oil which is 80p per litre instead of diesel at £1.10 per litre.

I don't think it is fitted with a Bosch injection pump as it doesn't seem to have that distinctive 'flying saucer' boost compensator on the pump head.

Won't work out so cheap when you have to change the fuel pump...
