That Montego is ludicrously priced at £650 with no T+T, however it sounds like if you went to see it, and were polite and honest with them, you could get it for a lot less than that. Its very temptng to go along and have a look.

Has this been on yet?

Should appeal to a certain mr laurel

A certain Mr Laurel already has one of those. They're actually a nice thing to drive - I'd have one if one came up cheap, as I like the look of them as well, but the chances of a decent one coming up for not much money are pretty slim.
A certain Mr Laurel here. Let's see a photo of it then:

Yup, that's pretty nice. From the description it deserves to make reasonable money. X-reg is unusual, very late - the following, plainer-looking C31 model can be found on a 'W'.

Manual too, but it appears only 4-speed as it's the 2.0 not 2,4 like mine. This also means different gauges, less plush interior, manual windows etc.

But it'd still be a nice thing to drive. Coil sprung rear axle means they don't handle as bad as you'd think, I quite enjoy hustling mine around. And you'll get covetous looks from Hiab-equipped Cargoes all day long...

Looking forward to taxing mine and using it again soon.

1982 Toyota Cressida

Had the car for 23yrs and my wife and I will be sorry to part with it. Reason for sale is due to golf bags and trollies not fitting in boot

Take up a new hobby then!

That Toyota was on before and I wondered why it had taken him 23 years to decide the boot was too small.

Posted

My mate used to carry his clubs and trolley in the back of his Corsa, Surely the Cressida has a bigger boot then that?!

Sorry to part with it, but perfectly happy for someone to destroy it on a track! And he must have golf clubs that are twenty foot long or something.

Never seen a 4x4 Transit Recovery truck before, I can imagine it quite purposeful and indeed shite looking.

1976 Datsun 100A

Just saw this on retro-rides, Not that cheap at £1800 but it's only done 8000 miles and the interior is lovely.

Yeah I think I may try this, I have asked to have a look at it as it's localish to me. Wonder how well I would get on if I started the bidding at £200 as I would not want to pay more than £300 for it. From the photo's & description though it does sound like it should sail through another MOT test.

Is BLEB a real word?

Probably not but it looks better than SCAB. Other suggestions may be considered for editorial purposes.

The engine warning light flashes sometimes? Sounds like fun! Then again, I could park it outside my house and let people know I'm a proper executive.
