Thread drift alert.

While a TR7 with a V8 is certainly a lot of fun, and sounds awesome, they can be surprisingly entertaining with a mildly tweaked four-pot in them.

as the number of moccasins comes down in this ebay advert

the price of the car goes up.

It started at £780, moved to £830 and is now at £850 - but no cheesy North American leather slippers in sight - is he a reader of this forum, I wonder!

It's like houses back in the early 2000s, going up every other day!

Why is it with eBay nowadays, that whatever you search for you end up with a shitload of unwanted (and unrelated) rubbish from the far east? You have to select ‘UK Only’ every time if you don’t want to see a load of fuggin xenon light bulbs and cheap brake pads when you are looking to see if there are any Bedford vans or whatever. They must have been getting lessons off Autotrader’s search engine ‘experts’.

That guy listing the Marina and the Princess is a right cunt. He is about as funny as AIDS. I am going to makes friends with him on Facebook and tell him.

How do you fancy 12 Gilberns? Think he is selling seperately for 1k-9k.

This one is pretty hot though but judging by the condition of the others, I suspect is one of the 9k ones. Pretty pricey for these?

the earlier 4-pot motor is the most expensive

an average 3K per car seems excessive, IMO

^^^ That porta shite is ace although if it ever sank below the height of the truck or more likely one of those flimsly looking legs buckles you've got bugger all chance of getting it back on.

Probably soon to be bought by some TV company so they can film 6 midget sushi chefs travelling all over the uk stealling karp and gold fish out of peoples garden ponds and turning them into delicious organic fishy treats.

THIS ^^^ is quite literally down the road, in fact the bungalow you might just see in some of the pics belongs to a mate.

Given that there is some Maverick Love going on and I still have a 4x4 itch I need to scratch I might go and have a word and take my Micra along for company....

The same garage also has this for £800

Which seems a lot of barge for the cash

Jeepers. That makes mine look cheap! If you're serious about getting one, make sure the bloody brakes work properly.

It's the low sun meaning there's no shadow under the front end, especially the front passenger wheel. I thought the same!

But what's the white car on the right?

The white car to the right is a Maserati karif coupe... basically a biturbo with a shortened roof.

Check out this GOOD LUCK CHARM!

Late 2009, due to the previous owner having rerouted the temp guage sender wire erroniously, it came loose and got the throttle linkage jammed wide open, leading to over-rev (valve float). This burst the gasket and has probably bent at least one valve stem.....

....I started to disassemble the top end to see the damage (and fix). Unfortunately, one of the recessed hex bolt holding the exhaust cam has been stripped (by some previous owner) and there is not the clearance without removing the engine, to get at it properly....

....I then lost my job....

....shortly after starting a business, my business partner ran off with the accounts and assets, including all my car tools....

......As an extra kick in the face, some little runt has put a spiders web in the windscreen (crack)....

....I've not had time, money and space concurrently enough to under go the engine rebuild....

....Now the wife is sick of it.....

looks okay and cheap but finished soon

This ended without bids. It's in bloody Newquay. What could go possibly go wrong if I offered £300 sight unseen?

But I thought you were meant to hammer a smaller 605 over the bigger one!

Not going to bother with it, tho. Newquay is incredibly difficult and expensive to get to. 80 quid one-way (on flymaybe) from Manchester airport (plus another fifteen for the train from here to the airport), and going by train would take about 7 hours without being much cheaper....and then I'd need a fair bit of petrol to drive back.

That R12 ad is rather interesting:

"The car is not contours".

I don't want it, then.
