I'm going to hazard a guess that this is still quite some way off its reserve, but if I had somewhere to put this (and an HGV license) I'd be all over it. Tax exempt too.

I've not seen a GTi for a while, £400, reserve not met sounds a bit high to me.

Part of the exhaust needs replacing ( middle section). There could be a possibility that the head gasket needs replacing due to building pressure in the system :( Hence the bargain low reserve for a car in this condition.

Very high in that case.

Can't you put these on 'Showman's licence' and drive it as a private vehicle, or is that just unit only articulated trucks? There's a shit model Scania on eBay at the moment with the 5th wheeel removed and it's listed as being legal for those with car licence only.

Anyhow if you can maybe you should buy it then 'do a Chris Eubank' and drive round your 'hood looking all moody and what not.

You'd have to prove you were a showman, to get that exemption. Otherwise, you could go to your regional VED office, fill in a few forms, and have it reclassified. You don't actually have to put it beyond use (so you can stick a trailer on your unit for vintage rallies, and so on), but you do need the relevant license. With a flatbed on it, I'm betting the ERF will be under 7.5t, so most people over 30 or so, could drive it on a car license. Fun times - just don't get caught by the ministry shifting 20 tons of paving slabs 'for a mate'!

Just put a silly top hat on and a long red jacket, and turn up at the DVLA office with a tiger or elephant or something on a lead. let them prove you're not a showman. They will fail

My friend has a smaller version of that ERF. I think he could have driven it on his car licence but decided it would be better to do his HGV test. The road tax on his newer one is only £165 a year.

This scrappy has a nice, crusty pair of Italian beauties for sale.

This place is in Angrydicky manor, I think he needs to check the place out with his camera.

North Fambridge? What a dead end, inbred dump of a place. Nothing there apart from old people, mud and caravans. And this amazing yard apparently. Anyone know where it is?
