I'm the chap that created and runs www.aronline.co.uk and my life story is one of tat. You name it, I've owned it.

I also love ARonline! a great site - always changing and being updated. Good articles too.

Ever thought about filling a book full of the best articles from AROnline?Cheers, Greg.

Hi GregMy thoughts were to self-publish, but again, who'd buy something they can pretty much get already online?RegardsKeith
Hi Keith,While I read far too much 'stuff' online, more than most, I think there's a lot of people, me included, who would prefer to read your articles in print - There's nothing wrong with your website, but when it comes to articles of some length it just seems easier. Whether there'd be enough people out there genuinely interested in all those articles then I dont really know. Obviously many of us here enjoy the content but I'd imagine not enough for a large publisher to risk.Keep up the good work with the website anyway..!Cheers, Greg.

Welcome Keith!I also would like to thank you for such an excellent website, in fact its probably the reason why I like cars of that age now. I would buy a book of it. I swear Haynes has done other books which have been 'specialist' on certain types of car, so I really dont see why they cant help you out.

I think you need to get one of the Top Gear crew involved.Looking at the transport section in Waterstones today about 75% of the books had one of those three on the cover.

Yup! Waterstones is truly the pits for decent car books...the rather lank-haired staff have got no idea or interest in anything of a vaguely mechanical nature.Thats why its either old tut with Clarksons massive grinning head on the front or boring stuff to do with passing your driving test.I don't even bother looking anymore. Also, I always do a Lynn Faulds-Wood style price comparison with Amazon if I see anything I fancy. Was tempted by the Virgin Book Of Top 40 Charts ( a very anoraky listing of every Top 40 Singles Chart since 1960!) priced at £20 but got it off Amazon for £11 P&P free!! Don't mind paying a tad extra from the High St but not when its nearly double the price! There's a little second hand bookshop opposite my gym in Hitchin and a few months ago he had a load of those old Observers Automobile Books from the 60s 70s 80s in the window.I ran in all excited until I found out he wanted £20 each for them!!! And he didn't have the 1981 one which I wanted anyway.

That statement suggests that there is something Waterstones isn't the pits for.

Watch out, that comparison could be "a potential death trap".
Yes, we've had reports of children actually choking whilst comparing prices......be warned!
