The grumpy thread

I think len is acutely aware of the idiocy of replying to obvious spam threads, I doubt it'd be him

Didn't strike me as something he'd do, although if you wanted to cripple a forum by bumping all the spam threads to the front of the board, it's not a bad tactic.

If it makes you feel better the girl I chased after (not literally) for more time than is healthy who I finally starting dating, turned out to be prudish, boring and over bearing. Thankfully she cheated on me so I had the ideal reason to leave her and say unkind things about her to my mates down the pub. My current gf (who I think is for keepers) I ran into purely by chance. She’s beautiful, kind hearted, sweet and more loveable than a kitten. And she loves Jags.

My ex was a Rover 200.

My girlfriend is a Rover 800 Vitesse Couple with a full cream leather interior with contrasting piping, sun roof and no mayonnaise under the bonnet.

What you usually want turns out to be a disappointment. What you find when you least expect it (as long as its not dog shit on your shoes) always turns out to be amazing...trust Alan :D

On the bright side then at least you knew she'd blow your head gasket.

Oh please stop bumping threads. It's actually quite irritating. Ive just clicked on about 7 threads to read new posts and they have just been bumped - no new content.

It's either that or let the spam win. Hobson's choice, unfortunately. I don't post much on here anymore , but I'll be damned if I'm gonna let it sink due to frikkin' spambots.

Fuck off, for fuck's sake. We're adults, or at least above 13 years of age. I think that we're intelligent enough to realise what's spam and what's a pukka thread. If we wish to see other stuff than spam, we can look on page 2 or 3 or 4 etc., and don't need the board spammed with threads that go bump in the night.

Wow, am I wearing the wrong aftershave tonight? Other people bumped threads and I bet you didn't have a pop at them. Don't have one at me.

With an attitude like that, no wonder this forum's listing to one side.

Ok, apologies, Amazo. However, the jist of the post still stands: we know what's spam and what's not - posting "bump" with no other content isn't helping!

Strongly agree with this, lets face it when under attack from spambots the best thing you can do is creat a shitload of spam posts of your own!!! THAT'LL SHOW EM! maybe even kick their ass by making a few spam threads!!!!:roll::roll:

Another disappointing mark back from University.

Shit - I forgot. I should mine a personal tragedy into a cheap human interest story and get a first, because that isn't what my classmates do in any way, shape or form. It utterly defeats the object of going out and finding a valid and relevant story, but fuck it, ma's downstairs and I want an amazing mark for achieving jack shit and writing in my comfort zone.

This sort of thing is rife, but if I aired this view around campus you can guarantee I'd be cut down at fifty paces.

After receiving very good feedback, the grade I got was utterly shit and rather confusing. Here's a fiver of free advice, Salford - tell me WHY what I've given you is shit in no uncertain terms. I appreciate the latter point is especially hard for you, but concentrate on this instead of whoring yourself to Peel Holdings and I'll rectify the faults and submit something better next time.

We had two tutors marking our work. One gave the feedback, the other actually marked them. The latter gave me feedback that related to the mark I received. The former told me it was one of the best things she'd ever read and other that one dodgy sentence, said it was [and I quote] 'worthy of being published.'

Let us take the following points into consideration, however:

1. No-one died.

2. Things are considerably better than they were last year, when my documentary film team abandoned me to complete an utter turd of a film myself, I re-shot it and got crucified for doing so when the marks came out. I spent so much time whipping it into shape I lost that stupid supermarket job that was a necessary evil at the time. My marks from other modules were unfair and utterly shit, and......ah yes - MOTHER_WATANABE was diagnosed with cancer.

Things would have to go some this year to get anywhere near the various disasters of December 2011.

I am not saying for one moment I am the best journalism student that ever lived, but for fuck's sake lads - level out the playing field.

I try and talk about old cars but that just isn't what the honeyz are interested in these days.

NC slide on down to the church of triple youporn, that stuff fixes most shit or that shit fixes most stuff! Afterall your average bloke has enough blood to power a brain or a hard on. No brain means no shit feeling. :P

Will most birds I have met have never been interested in old cars or anything other than shopping, kittens and shoes. Try offering to take them shopping in your chosen shite and then extoll the virtues of your capacious boot space before ploughing them on the back seat in lidl car park for extra shite points

Went to look at another CLS today. Waste of time again, this one was even more fucked than the last one. ARSLOCHEN!

That was sarcastic :P It's really just because I'm a massive misogynist.

Hopefully my movember efforts will act as a

Why?

I'm having a serious look at going into the executive hire business, along with a mate.

Not really a grump, more of a fact, someone on the blue has bought that Autoshite coloured Cortina Estate we was perving over recently and has already started on the car "mods".

So I'm getting a mk5 cortina estate on sunday and need abit of insperation as to what to do with it I'm thinking wide wellers and lowered, or banded steelies eventually and lowered, hubcaps and roof rack

Grumpy or just upset. Not sure.

Had to have one of our cats put down this week. Monday he was fine, out and about as usual. Off his food Tuesday and then had a fit on Wednesday morning. Quick trip to the vet followed by blood tests confirmed that he had eaten something poisonous which had caused kidney failure and more fits. Went back to the vets on Thursday to say goodbye and hold a paw as he was put to sleep. Not ashamed to admit that I cried my eyes out.

See you later little furry pal.

The only mods that thing needs is a sports jacket with fake leather elbow patches.

I expect that he will empty his shed into the boot, his loft onto the roof rack and strip the paint off the bonnet and much worse  . Will be a shame

That is one thing I always fear, as a cat owner myself (or does he own me, I'm not sure on that one). Sorry to hear about that Lobby :(

Nothing at all wrong with that, been through the same and it's really not nice.

No shame in that at all, losing a pet can be unbelievably gutting. One of mine was attacked by a dog, and I remember getting the call from the vets to say she'd died on the table while they were trying to repair her punctured lung. I bawled and sobbed in the most un-manly way for quite a while.

I stuffed the Rover up the arse of an Audi A8 on Wednesday and killed it.... :(

A thread/pics to follow.

Lobster..... bad times, my condolences. Been there and done that, stroked the poor thing as it fell to sleep. Doesn't matter how old or manly you are, it's heart-wrenching.

mattblack.... doh!! Properly killed it or just to the point that insurance companies can't be bothered?
