I think you probably did have a Friday afternoon special. Without wanting to turn into Troy Queef, the one I had just felt "right" from the first time I drove it

I only found out recently who Troy Queef was.

Didn't even get to see a reply to anything i said in that thread - Darn

My only experience in an MX5 was driving Utterpiffle / Scrapingscrap's example round Marham. I loved every second of it. Never would have thought it was possible to have that much fun on a track in what is essentially quite a slow car. I'll own one one day, but I'm holding off until I can afford a half decent one for just the reasons Wat describes.

But you're life wouldn't be so fun if it didn't happen

P.s:

Drop me a txt when you're free so i can give you that money for the "DRUGZ"

I'd love another MX5, but this time with forced induction for traffic light lolz

Yeah, can I have a go when you get one? I want to see what all the fuss is about rather than basing my findings on sampling a 200,000 mile Miata that was crashed backwards into a bus stop in Wisconsin.

KTHANXTA.

Sure, but you'd be doing it unaccompanied. As much as I like them, 2 men in an MX5 = no

Are you offended in any way by my comments? Have I criticised you or your car directly?

Sorry, just using some NSJC member logic there.

I bought this shower at the weekend as I need to renew my bathroom soon. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWAX:IT

I knew it was a gamble bidding on something with poor description but i thought it would save me a few quid as it looked pretty good in the photo.

So today my dad collected it in his van for me, and surprise, surprise, It's shit, The main body jet bit is yellow from sun damage and no good, It's been in a store on display for 10 years and has been plumbed in so everything is covered in water marks and it's just looks tatty.

Wish i hadn't bothered now, the misses has the arse ache about it as well, On the plus side the stone tray will clean up well and is worth more then £52 and the screen might be ok, and you can't even neg the bloke for fear of getting neg'ed back yourself.

Sellers can't give buyers negative feedback anymore. Neg away if you want, but to be honest you didn't pay a lot for what you got if the tray and doors are any good. If you were local I'd be tempted for them myself.

I didn't bother negging as it is only £52, i just commented that the plastic shower part had gone yellow, Like i say, a cast 900mm shower tray must be woth more then £52, I'll just ebay the body jet bit back off, Might get a £10 for it of someone.

Went to scrap the Xantia tonight and cant find the V5.

Currently packing the house up to move and have spent the last hour pulling everything out but cant find it. DVLA want £25 for a new one which is a hefty chunk of money when scrapping the car.

Your enclosure appears to branded (what is it?).

It's made by Niagara and is glass, It seems complete as far as we can tell.

Getting the alignment and balancing done but my wallet now being £103 lighter. Cost me £40 last time I had it done, although to be fair it was way off, these cars are affected badly if it's out and I do have a long journey on Sunday

£103 for tracking and balance?

Fuck that it'd be cheaper to buy tyres every few months.

Trying to put this essay back together is proving a bit of a 'mare.

HGV drivers. If someone asks you to move your trailer nearer to the loading bay it generally doesn't mean 'please get even further away'. Confusing 'back up a bit' with 'drive forwards' and having 87 goes at stopping when you're told to isn't helping matters.

Doncaster Council. When "planning" roadworks, it would be a great idea to stagger the dates, so that traffic that is avoiding one road closure, does not end up in a queue that is held up by ANOTHER set of roadworks/gas pipe laying. To further attempt to educate you, I would also suggest that if these roadworks essentially cut off one side of the town from the other, and the Ambulance station being one side, and the Hospital the other, you may have dropped a bollock. Also, seeing that the A19 is half dug up, which is an avoiding route for traffic coming from various other satellite towns, who wish to get to other towns in the area, and a bridge is also closed, and there are roadworks on the "diversion" you suggest, means that the motoring public have no choice but to add 45 minutes to a 12 minute journey, in both directions. You are stealing 1 hour a day from me, 1 hour a day from my Wife, and also 1 hour a day from each of the drivers in the queues. I know of people who drive from Leeds, in less time than it takes me to get 4.6 miles. SORT IT OUT YOU WANKERS! Or you will get my Land Rover through your doors. And that will be planned.

You'd feel right at home in Paphos then Albert! Our roadworks are a positive legend!

Just the receipt, he did tell me the rear castor was completely out on one side and the toe by about 3.5mm on the other.

With councils everywhere drastically cutting budgets ours have decided to dig up and "improve" half the roads around here. There used to be 2 routes into town and they've made the bottom one buses only, so drastically reduced traffic levels and more closed businesses. At the other end of town they're taking a dual carriageway that's rammed every rush hour and turning it into a single carriageway with a bus lane. Fucking clowns. At least I won't be living here to witness it.

You'd have a lot of similar topics. I think it's the policy of every local council in the UK to turn their city into one big bus lane and to make driving so miserable so it forces people onto public transport

that is indeed the policy!

hence, why we have traffic-lights phased to let three cars through, speed cushions that cars cannot avoid but that are narrow enough for buses to traverse them with no damage, stupid changes to speed limits that have no relation to road safety apart from the fact that a scamera can be fitted to catch us all doing 3mph over the limit at the bottom of a hill that we have spent all our time braking going down it.

^^Please come to the new Car Politics Forum to go on about that. I beg you. We'd love you to detail exactly how incompetent councils, public sector officials, and all manner of monopolistic entities such as these, which are non-accountable to the "customers" they allegedly serve, perform as expected: like shite. I won't say another word here, except to invite you to speak up either way, agree/disagree, support them/condemn them, however you feel.

I'll be honest; I dont fancy it much. There's enough pontification on the net without going looking for it.
