Take the TV, DVD player, Kids bikes, Turkey out the freezer, "Santa stop here" sign off the garden etc. Then the wanker might see what it's like to spend money and have fuck all to show for it. They're doing well to both wear themselves and the roads quicker than normal I think its about +7 where the rubber advantages start coming in. Perhaps the answer was getting confused about studded tyres?

Back to "crash-for-cash" Patel briefly, just to add a bit of perspective.

 

The order to repay £1 will be part of a recovery of proceeds of crime. The CPS put these into place to basically seize the ill-gotten gains of crims. However, when said crims have "hidden" the cash, the CPS can't place orders for amounts anywhere near the total proceeds. However, putting a £1 order in place means that it can be altered at a later date, and will therefore mnean that the crim's finances will be under constant scrutiny, and that they can't come out of jail, "find" the cash and start living it up again. For the avoidance of doubt, the CPS are red-hot on this.

 

Therefore, my grump on that story would be the complete lack of balance shown by the article in question.
