How do you get rid of a difficult ex? And why did they hang around anyway? (We were never married, never owned property together and had no children - I can even put up with the fact that I don't see our dog any more).

12-bore

Just ask her politely to leave you alone. Just go out for no reason - fill the car with some jungle juice and drive around without actually going anywhere in particular. She may get bored and turn off somewhere and go away.

If she persists and harasses then tell her you're getting a court order against her for harassment

I can only imagine what the rubbish stinks like in this heat too! It’s bad enough when one goes past let alone working on one.

Green waste isn't so bad. Worst ones are on trade waste rounds - fishmongers and kebab shops. I have a strong stomach, thankfully.

Bloody Ebay!

Had my fill of them lately, ever since they changed there stupid listing format. They keep adding there ' make a offer ' to the listing that I don't sodding want and can't remove. An the most annoying of all they keep changing my postage options back to the basic option ?

So after not bothering with ebay for a while, I've just tried again and sure enough same shit again. Have called there call centre and awaiting a phone call back. If they bother, I feel sorry for the poor sod that call's me back.

Hrm.  I don't think I mentioned that she'd followed then chased me in her (that is, my) car when I was out on foot... but she did.  You are psychic and if it becomes a pattern of behaviour rather than a one-off then I most definitely will.

I do indeed!  To be fair, I'd give the old dears of Sandwich a heart attack by bringing down the average age by 20 years!

You live in the village of the dammed ???

Fictional sky deities be praised!  There's a storm!  A storm I say!  With rain and everything!  Weather went from 0-100 in about 10 minutes...

She is obviously unwell in the head department. I had a quick look at the dotgov website which just says "abuse", doesn't disclose what "abuse" is. You can 101 it and report her as a stalker.

I'm still sacrificing the slugs. How can such a tiny garden harbour so many of the slimy little bastards?

Perused my Facebook feed and my dad's driveway in lincs is underwater and you can't see the other side of the road for the rain, so there's hope yet! Garden tidied in preparation, and the mattress I need to take to the tip is in the shed so it doesn't get soaked and be a bastard to get in and out of the car

My other half shouted upstairs to get the sun lounger out of the garden and to cover all the untreated wood we have out there in tarpaulin.  Luckily, we have plenty of paving slabs to weigh it all down...

Adulting.  Who'da thought it?

I just checked my security camera (I live in a part of England where the uniform is tracksuits) and yes it is raining.

I'd imagine my tomato plants are happy.

Good job I took them out of the greenhouse.

The weather is making it look somewhat more apocalyptic than normal in Aberdeen.

Bar an oil slick, how is that even possible?

Lady Grumpius and I were making a joke of driving to Aberdeen if it didn't cool down here.  I suggested Arisaig instead...

It’s looking very dark over in Norfolk, my weather app says rain from 11pm....

....the passenger window on the scrapyard 929 is open. Dammit.

Anyone heard from Dave of many numbers?

He's on the run after an advanced race has developed from his nose slug in the unusual heat, and it's taking over France.

I'm enormously proud of myself for having put the cover on the barbecue yesterday.

I, for one, welcome our new blood slug overlord negotiation partners.

Posted

news reports from France are reporting that the blood slug has grown substantially in size and is eating bad drivers and annoying neighbors, and excreting bASe spec cars

the locals are calling this excrement "Autoshite"

more on the story at whenever
