The grumpy thread

It's Saturday night and I'm laid on the settee board shitless. All the old friends now have young families and have different priorities to when we used to go on the piss together. It's too cold to go and mess about in the garage and there is fuck all on TV now the footy has finished.

Might as well go to bed.

TL:DR

wimmin.

Right, if that's your kinky lass on PMT then you need to grab a calendar, grab a marker pen, and do some colouring in. She knackered your knackers to remind you she's out of bounds? She had a strop over bread? Jeeeez.

I'm 99% sure I'm going to get flamed for this, but I can't help but feel I have to ask..

Are you SURE you're fit to drive? I'm not for forcing anyone off the road whastoever, and I know we all have spells of bad luck, but within the space of 2 weeks you've managed to misjudge a corner and end up parked on a wall, swerved to avoid someone who was on your side of the road and drove off - leaving you clattering a rock of doom, and now stoved the wing in by sliding on black ice...?

This really isn't a personal attack, I'm just asking the question. I feel bad for asking it, but I'd feel worse if I didn't and you had another incident and ended up hurt :(

What he said.

Really, this doesn't sound normal*. I know if it was me I'd be getting on the nearest buss and sodding this driving thing off for a bit

nsandi are a pain. They want all this security and then their online password can only be six characters long. I forgot it and they won't email a reminder to you, but have to post a new one. I wanted to cash in a couple of thousand recently and couldn't do it online but had to download a form and post it.

Yes. Not funny anymore. Time to check your epilepsy. Remember the Glasgow bin lorry incident.

Nothing to do with my epilepsy at all. Last time I had a seizure I had a sense it was coming. As all the seizures before then. Anyone medically trained will understand what I mean. The vectra yes maybe I can be partially to blame for misreading road, speed not appropriate maybe etc but I honestly cannot sense someone driving towards me on a blind bend,I dipped headlights when I seen him and instinctively swerved. As for black ice I'm sure I'm not the only person who has slid on black ice. Yes I know everything seems to have happened in such a short space but look at the larger picture. I've lost my house,my job,my marriage etc so far this year. I have honestly had enough, struggling to cope with day to day life, wondering what next going to happen. I've not had a seizure for 2 years now. I've worked with acquired brain injury and I've seen what dangers can be done. I would not risk my life or anyone else if I wasn't fit to drive. I just want this year gone. Maybe next year will be better

And I feel like giving up driving a bit but due to disability I just cant do it. I have to get out,I can't sit staring at 4 walls

It's ok,sorry if I came across as annoyed. Any person would want to ask anyway. Saxo already had 2 dented doors just got a wing added that's all.

Sorry, but I just visualised that and had to smile.

I'm SURE Bub is is medically fit to drive, on the other hand, he's displaying all the signs of being a bit* incompetent...

I don't think you should give up driving for a bit, your competence will be even lower (if that's possible) when you restart, but when the weather is fucking crap...well y'know, competent drivers remain indoors. Stick to essential trips for the next few weeks and borrow some DVD box sets to save you looking at the walls.

Here ends the public information bollocking.

(Now can some MOD change his rank to "Billy Blunders"?)

I don't see the incompetance bit tbh, black ice, surely we have all been there in one way or another, either a small crunch or an 'oh shit' then all is well moment. Ditto with the coping stone/baleno, the choice seemed to be head on crash or swerve and bad luck.

Beat the saxo up for a bit, sell the vectra or keep/fix it. Either way, keep on going, you'll get through it!

I'm just glad I don't live in Derbyshire!

Can you please warn us whenever you plan to drive to another area ☺

I don't think I can have anymore bad luck. Doubt I could cope. Dvd sounds great,no dvd player though, lost everything when wife chucked me. If I honestly thought I wasn't fit to drive I would throw my license in and I mean that. I just want a change of circumstances that's all.
