What condition is the displacers in?

Engine still may be worth something even full of water. I'd rip it out and bung it on eBay. Heads and the like can be re-machined. A-series lumps are getting rare now.

Rip it out you say? Shouldn't take long

No idea re the displacers, what would indicate if they were saveable or not?

Probably only really find out when you remove them. The canister section is hidden in the subframe. You only see the top rubber bit from up top. Don't worry if the hose/hose crimps are buggered, they're easily changed.

At least you wont have to worry about siezed bolts or screws.. Just use a hammer and chisel around the metal (or rust) and the bits will come off... Dont know if you know cameron Gilmour, he is a a-series specialist might buy bits from you

The wood trim on the body seems to be riveted on to the bodywork so is proving tricky to remove without damaging it. I can see us cutting the panels away around it, but only if they're worth saving

Seats have been rescued and look saveable but the back seat is soaking wet.

The displacers will most likely be OK if their outer metal 'cans' are not rotted through. As mentioned the hoses can be changed over easily enough.
