VW Passatt F---HMV - White - Montego p/x'ed for this, lowered, smoked lenses, colour coded, big alloys, ran like a three legged pig.VW Golf GL mk 3 - J---BPU - nice enough, bit slow, but managed to convince the old dear to spec the Ronal alloys on it...Mercedes 190E 2.0 - weird purple - slow-witted autobox, but 100% reliableMercedes C250TD Estate - red, still got this, bought as an ex-demo, on a "P" plate, its done about 72K, and unlikely to be sold. Evah. It's a bloody tank, by mother loves it; I'm not fussed.ALSORYM432E Red Autobianchi 500 van - Tom - free, engine in 3 cardboard boxes in the back, my old man built this bloke a wall (he was a brickie), and in exchange for a few bricks and an archway, he was givin the car.869UNO - Noddy- Blue Reliant Regal 1957? Horrific.RHK595K - Ricky - Renault 4TL - was due to be my first car, but pop wrote it off, we kept it and used it for bits for my R4, which I rolled after 3 days of ownership.A929FLM escort 1300L Estate, I bought this off him October 1st 1989, wrote the fucker off December 10th 1989. G670XHJ Citroen AX nitelife - hilarious, tinny, wobbly, economical. He then used the Golf, listed above, thenS130TAH Escort Finesse Estate, pepper red, never broke down, just got tattier and tattier.NOW 53 reg Focus 2.0Ghia Estate had it two years, it's got 115k on it, not a bad old bus at all.Blimey, hope I've not bored you too much....

I don't think I'll even click on the link. It would just wind me up.My old mans car numbers have been somewhat low, as he tends to look after them and keeps them running for years.'60 Fiat 500'65 Ford Anglia'67 Morris 1100'72 Toyota Carina'76 Datsun 120Y'81 Datsun Sunny'89 Volvo 240I took over the 240 and thought it was an excellent car. The ones after this are of no real interest.Mum had an Imp, Datsun 100A and Volvo 340 & 440 . I broke the 340.

My Dad had:1959 Ford Pop. Wanky 6 volt electrics196? Triumph Herald (new) Shite. Leaked rain in and fluids out196? E Type Jag 4.2. Bought very cheap from a toff who'd bashed it. Easily fixed I'm told by my Dad and his brother (who is a vicar)196? Herald Vitesse. Much better than the first one.1970 Mini 850 (new). Went on fire at a few months old while parked.1970 Mini 850 (new). Never went on fire but was shit unreliable.1973 Viva. Apparently mega-reliable. Previous owner had fitted a telephone bell as a rudimentary alarm.1976 Viva (new) Utter utter crap. Ended up with a Ford 1.3 OHV in it.1976 Escort Mk2 1.6 Sath Efrica spec. Midnight blue with 2 doors and alloys. Bet my old man wishes he still had that. Some sort of 2 door mark 3 Tina in white.1976 Citroen GS Pallas. A very flash car for it's time, but rusted faster than an unpainted freighter.1977 Ford Capri II 1.6GL in sandglow(?) beige with a chocolate brown vinyl roof. Yum1979 Chevette 4 door in Ember red with a silver Starsky and Hurch stripe! I was the coolest kid in school cos of that car.1984 Austin Metro 1.0 City with low compression engine. Passed my test in it and LOVED that car.1991 MG Montego EFi. Very tasty motor which sounded great sans air filter element.1994 Rover 214SEi (I had one the same): Complete, total, unadulterated bollocks. It was so bad, I had engine-out operations down to about 40 minutes. I fucking hated that car.1992 Merc 190E 2 litre manual. Magnificent car.1998 Merc C280 sport manual. Bastard quick but superb.2001 Merc C200 Kompressor (2.0). Stupidly complex, but fairly well behaved.2005 (new) Hyundai Tucson CRTD. An amazing vehicle. Very versatile, bags of kit and well screwed together. A woman driving an oldshape Agila pulled out in front of my Dad was driving this. The Agila enede up on its roof.2002 Jaguar S-Type 3 litre V6SE (maroon). Just like my own car except for the colour. Both have been jolly good indeed, not even all that thirsty.Sometime in the nex 6-9 months he hopes to get an XF, but my mother thinks they're fugly.

after toe volvo estates he got sensible with a wonderful Citroen BX 19 Tdi - top of the range estate - cracking car which I bought from him in 1998 and regret selling in 2002.meanwhile he got mad(der)Westfield Sei - his daily driver with 2 dogs - I jest not - he used this car 365 days a year in edinburgh - always witht he roof down unless tipping it down - bloody uncomfortable and cold but a hoothe then got slightly more civilised and swapped it for a Panther Kallista which was the last car he owned before he died - drove this every day as well. Sadly, when he died mum had to move house and thew car was taken away by a mechanic friend who we have lost touch with and has moved - no sign of the car - however, it has not been registered since 2000 so is still in storage (a barn) I guess - no idea how to track him down though - if anyone knows him he is called Ken Green and until 1997 ran the Trophy Motor Company in Polworth Road in Edinburgh. I'd love to track the old Panther down - would be a restoration though but much of the car is aluminium so shouldn't be too nasty (ulp)given his mad convertible behaviour - this probably explains my preference for luxobarges

Well, ill include ones my dad owned before i was born as they are numerousUp until 2002, when he passed away. This wont be in chronological order haha.Ford Cortina MK1 (which might or might not have been the lotus version)Ford Capri MK1/2- Apparently sheared a wheel going round a roundabout, and was also rear ended in a traffic jamVauxhall Astra MK2Peugeot 205 Diesel, which managed to go over 500 miles on a tank.Austin Maestro which got sideswiped at a car park, and was apparently 'bent like a banana' but was repaired.Austin MetroMorris MarinaI know for a fact he had more than that from around 1967-1986, because he was a stock taker for the best part of 25 years, so had company cars. But from 1987 it was as follows-Ford Escort MKIII 2 door Estate, which he bought for my mum when they met, bless.Ford Sierra GL, bought because of them running a pub. Was got rid of because it had terribley poor tractionSubaru Legacy MK1 Estate 2.2. Probably the best car we ever hadand finallySubaru Impreza 1.8 GL Estate, gutsy, but thirsty. Had seriously low mileage throught our ownership, think it left us in 2003 with something like 27,000 miles, which in 8 years is comically low.

From memory and some are from when I was very small...Hillman Husky estate.1969(?) Maxi 1500, think it was one of the very early cable change box models.1970(ish) Austin 3-Litre. One of my favourites, would give almost anything to have that myself. EFO 177H, probably log since scrapped.1974 Maxi 1750: OFO 9M I think.1977 Cortina Mk4 1.6L estate: PEM 120T.1980 Chrysler Alpine 1500 DHG 511W.1982 Cavalier Mk2 1.6 SR. VFV 252Y or something like that. Probably my favourite of the lot.Later on in life he 'progressed' to a new Lada Samara, a Panda 4x4, a Panda 'Comfort' (biggest motoring contradiction EVAH!), a Skoda something or other estate and his last one was a new shape Panda.Mum had a couple of Renner 4s, Wolseley Hornet, a fucking Fiat 126 (the less said about that the better) and random others too I think.
