Okay, need it gone folks. No more price drops, its either £400 to take away or £7 a go with a roffle. Lets get it going. Please?!?!?

I thought I'd give Peter S Taylor classic insurance a go on this. No dice, they're absolutely not interested in anything under £1500 in value now.

Got a right grilling off the woman on the phone and she told me that classic insurance isn't just for any old car!

That's me told then!

Man, you change cars a lot.  Must be expensive.  Blackbushe car auctions (just up the road from Basingstoke) are always looking for drivers and car jockeys. A part time job with them might scratch that itch to experience something new, and you'd earn a bit of cash from it.

Suppose I'd better buy a random, having said that.

Even with the value set as £1500 I had no joy. Must be my age/short (but immaculate) driving record/on street parking or something.

And yes I do go through a lot of cars, whoops.

I'll update the list when I'm home.

Wow, is the Renault 19 the automotive equivalent of hepatitis?

I had someone ask to view it today. turned in to a NO SHOW. Ace.

In any case, numbers updated, it seems like the draw could be in 2019 but there is only 10 months left, so that is pure optimism.

Mate, put it in the barn.

I would, but there is literally zero point owning a car I can't afford to insure.

Blue sky, sun stroked thinking here whilst I'm tending to the veggie patch but is there a way to create an Autoshite Ltd and then provide fleet insurance to multiple chod and we pay to join that service?

I've chanced Facebook again and had someone offer me £150, and then someone else who seems to really want it coming tomorrow with 'the money'.

So let's see what happens.

You know what I reckon would make a GREAT thread Sam. Simply, a screenshot of a spreadsheet showing (car name), (purchase price), (length of time owned), (sale price).

It might concentrate the mind. I did that years ago after a succession of really crap Fiestas (plus storage costs) and realised the total outlay could have bought me the best XR2 in the country at the time I got the first one.

If my insurance situation was any less dire than yours I’d be helping up out.

Have you tried an ad on RR? I’d imagine it’d sell well on there

Well, this appears to be another  no show.

Do reasonable people still exist? All signs suggest pessimism is a justified emotion when selling a car.

It's going on eBay tonight, Facebook really is a waste of time. I got another offer for £150 as well.
