Talking of Fords with unsuitable wheels, I really like how this appears to be completely standard except for the most ridiculous alloys possible.

being the 87 model it was built overseas hence no rot apart from 1 patch of welding on the drivers sill which is ruffly half the size of a £5 note & 1 on the inner wing.

 

The foreign built ones weren't dipped in boiling seawater like the British ones so there's NO ROT! (except for the bit approximately 5/16ths the size of a £50 note and this one other bit)

Anyway this one, the product of three years work, looks like it's coming along well. 

 

 

Might need to whittle a bit off that battery if you want the bonnet to close properly though.

The DR was new to me.

According to Wankapedia - DR Motor Company is an Italian automobile company, founded in 2006 by Massimo Di Risio. The company produces cars adding design and Italian standards to components supplied by foreign companies such as Chery Automobile.

That 518 is nice, looks very tidy.  The DR jobby is just the perfect combination of cars.  So Daewoo built a Matiz, that was rebadged as a Chevrolet and stayed in production rather too long.  That was then copied very badly by the Chinese to make a DR1.  That was then bought by a company with no history of building cars and is being built to Italian standards with extra bits to go wrong.

 

It's a dream come true.

That's my old one! Surprised to see it for sale again so soon as the seller hasn't had it very long. Good to know it's still around and still looks much the same as it did when we sold it, but good luck to him expecting £2750 for it.
