A surprisingly tidy looking fake TT

Banham X21/ Metro Kit Car Conversion - Picture 1 of 19

They usually look in dreadful condition and badly put together, whereas this appears quite nice. God knows what they're like to sell though, given a 'real' one is probably cheaper now. They've fucked a decent looking Metro to make it, mind you.

I'm looking at the scrap on offer, and the asking prices, and it seems to me that very suddenly, £50 has managed to become £2000.  Am I really just Old?

(Well yes, officially, from today, but that's not the point...)

Oh dear, that’s an awful device and any reasonable Audi TT would be a better prospect.

Call me fussy, but if I was going to pay 16 bags for a Rover 75, I'd want it to at least have matching tyres.

That is rather lovely though.  I like the Meteor wheels - they must be fairly rare.

Fuuuuuuuck off!!!

The tyres do have some degree of ‘match’, in that they’ve been knackered for the past two MOTs!

The seller's website: https://www.spaceship.ltd/

The Rover seems quite typical of their sales cars/many you see - all polished, prepped, smell lovely but there's never much mechanical knowledge/description displayed.
There's maybe a market for such things but I don't think it's here.

Always wanted a P10 Primera GT, but it's hard to find one that isn;t rotten. With a £4.5k opening bid, this one must be relatively tidy

I’ll be honest the car is in fantastic condition for over 33 yrs old

I wonder if he's got a copy of  The art of The Deal he could chuck in with it.

For that money I would want at least 2 front fog lamps, zero rust around the fuel filler door and my own personal chauffeur

I'd be happy with RHD myself....

This looks ok for £895. I'd imagine being a 125 it's probably a bit easier on longer journeys than a C90.

Looks like it was found in a canal. A canal at the bottom of a salt mine. Still (surprisingly) good value at the current £450 bid, as the engines are quite sought after.

I’ve seen something against that wall a while ago at a ridiculous price, but can’t recall what. May have been a BX or XM?

Unsafe at any speed !

Still would, though, especially at the current price.

0.1 miles away from me as the crow flies... I've already got one car purchased from within walking distance, if this one was roadworthy I'd be in danger of starting a collection!
