I can’t believe that these are finally getting to the sort of price where I’d consider owning one; my mrs has been asking after one on-and-off. Her dream* could come true in the next couple of years.

Struck me a few months back that I’d not seen one of these for years.  Always wanted one when they were current, but couldn’t afford one and ended up with a Renault Extra van for quite a lot less instead, and it was probably a better van in reality.   Use to do a bit of work in the Luton Factory back in that era and it was a little frowned upon to not run Vauxhall/Bedford vans.  My boss at the time still had a fleet of HA Viva vans, which he slowly replaced with Rascals🤦‍♂️.  Could quite fancy a Max as a classic motor, but it would need to be red or blue and I’d struggle to resist fitting a 1.6PEZ to give it a a bit of go.

These were famous for being the fastest thing on the road back in the day. Could easily outrun a Testarossa/911 etc.

Gone already

This one is in the same colour. But it does have the dreaded  PureTech 3 cylinder  wet-belt engine.
