I may actually have sold it in 88.  The buyer was a youngster who was into 1950s style, and I would guess not too capable mechanically, so it's probably long gone.

I did a quick scope of its DVLA record, I cant add much sadly, other then for what its worth, it does not have a scrap marker against it at least

so who knows, it could maybe be hiding in a barn/council lockup somewhere :)

only other things I can add is last V5 was issued 28 march 1988 and the reg mark tells me it was initially registered in London (when imported into the UK)

I wish I could justify that to myself.

What's it worth as a roadworthy car, if it's considerably more surely that's justification, to you anyway, your partner however..... 😄

£5fucking750?!!!!  :o

Same size as a fiesta, in the dark under a streetlight 200m away it could look like an XR2 so classic Ford tax applied to the price

About £500?  I mean how many NCAP stars does it have?

Thanks for that, I will make a few enquiries.  I reckon I sold it in March 88.  Curiously I remember the address of the previous keeper in Gloucestershire (though not his name) but I think he hadn't owned it for very long.  It would be great if it has survived but I wouldn't want it back - I think cars are linked to phases in your life and sometimes it is best to move on.

That's all part of the charm, doesn't matter how many stars it's got if you don't crash it 😄

Anyone in Crewe willing to give the sills of this a firm prod?

If they put up half a fight I’ll buy it.

I'm currently near-ish to Crewe but it'll be Wednesday or Thursday before I can get anywhere near it.

Thanks mate - I think the guy might be a bit too much like 'hard work'.  I will speak to him again today but my spidey senses are tingling.

This guy has been trying to get 5k for about a year now despite paying around 1700 quid for it originally and yet putting zero effort into actually improving it in any way. It's probably been standing most of the time deteriorating further.

I had one a couple of years ago and sold it on here.  Twas interesting, but the front seats can't be used by children and the driving position is offset.  Otherwise they're a useful square appliance and the petrols are pretty economical.

I really fancied one of these coz of the dimensions and old school 3 across the front style but they seem to like to rot at an alarming rate. Don’t remember when I last saw one.

I'm sure there's a couple of you here that'll be able to explain WTF this is. I had no idea Ligier made microcars

They sold them here in RHD form for a while in the early 2000s.  I had two Ambras back in the day, one diesel and one petrol.

Aaah right, you learn something new everyday! They must be very rare now in RHD form.

I haven't seen any for sale for a while.

The petrol Ambra holds the distinction of clocking the third slowest 0-60 time of all the vehicles I've owned, at 55.5 seconds.  (The diesel one was flat out at 45 so that doesn't count.)
