What's the catch here?  There must be one, a 10 year old Alfa 156 in a slightly unpleasant colour with low miles and no apparent faults for £1100!

I don't normally do the ebay listing slagging off thing but this is a special case.  I don't know Lauren, but nonetheless I have formed a number of opinions of her from this and her feedback rating.

Sounds good

 

 

Apart from that there are NO engine/running issues.
 
The MOT ran out in July.
It needs new tyres. 
The brakes aren't that great.
The back windscreen zipper has come apart when I lifted the back to get into the engine - but that's an easy fix, and I might have it fixed by the end of the auction.
 
The handbrake needs tightening

 

 

Obviously it's a bit of a girls car - but MG's are girls cars anyway, or hairdressers, or old men :D

In most of the photos it has a slightly pleading look about it, possibly begging to be put out of its misery?  That said, none of the problems sound too terrible but unfortunately a respray puts it firmly in the 'ruined beyond redemption' category.

Ooh, that is nice.  ZXs have aged very well.

 

I have never liked them TBH. Think the shape is all wrong. The Volcane was meant to be pretty snazzy though wasn't it?

Top of the range I think.  They do seem to have vanished into obscurity, you used to see them all over the place but I don't remember the last time I actually saw one on the road.  Could be a good time to get one while they're cheap.

From my own experience, the pez Volcanoes jizz various mechanical parts off at various angles every time you think of touching the accelerator pedal.

Kind of like a speedily accelerating strip-tease.

Still fun though.
