Liked, for all the retired people on here. :D

I’ve spent half my working life living on those touring the states. Can’t understand why people spend almost that on a VW camper you can’t stand up in.
Glorious if you get one with the pop out lounge.

You call that a CB mast?

Ha - maybe ex-BBC? They used Peugeots for quite a while, although when I were a lad starting my career, the radio car was a Sierra and I used to get despatched all over the place to test the signal back to base.

Without a doubt. ‘Lounge Leather’ no less. Suit the car quite well I think.

I've been eyeing this up for ages. Or at least trying to talk my Granda into buying it so I'm landed with it when he gives up the driving.

I have a similar issue. I've to buy something newer according to the family (not that I can afford it anyway). I canny wait to see their faces when I do eventually roll up in some Y-reg heap. 🤣

Go for a G reg heap instead. Seriously, a Cavalier is a far better car than a Vectra in my opinon.

Loving the accent in some of your posts by the way! I went to school in Maybole back in the 70s/early 80s before moving south, so it makes me smile, thanks 👍

Thanks! I'm actually not too far from Maybole as it is! :)

You and @AnnoyingPentiumhave my deepest sympathy. I left aged 12 and was sad. By the age of 18 I was so fucking thankful! Don’t think there’s a single lad from my class who didn’t escape in the end.

My parents now live  near Johnstone and I have drive through Maybole many times over the last few years heading for the ferry to Ireland (would visit them and combine it with trip to Ireland) and, whilst not wanting to cause any offence to anyone, what a fucking depressing town that is!

They've bypassed it now. You don't have to drive through it anymore, thankfully.

I've got friends in Johnstone, as an aside. :)

Ah yes, I did hear it was now finally open. My dad started campaigning for a bypass when he was chairman of the town council back in 1977 (and was driving a brand new mk4 Cortina to keep some car content🙂)

They’re now in Crosslee.
