Re that demolished E39 7 Series:

"The thieves that took the car stole the car phone, first aid kit, spare wheel, battery and catalytic converters from the car."

Can't help but think "chinny reckon" to this

Probably wondering why he's selling it and keeping the two Peugeot shitpieces in the background (assuming they're his!)

Fancy a RAV4 as a substitute for the landcruiser while it gets some repairs?

....oh wait

https://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/toyota-rav-4-estate-1997-manual-1998-cc-3-doors/1429203572?

I did get a pang of missing it the other day, as in missing driving a short wheel based 4x4.

I then came out in a rash relating from PTSD from the memories of the RAV4.

Ah, seems justified

This was apparently done in the ‘80s by an engineering firm to demonstrate their abilities.  Like many engineering firms it seems to demonstrate technical ability but fuck all business acumen

I'm reminded of that BMW 635 with the Slightly Different Sunroof that someone posted recently (sorry I can't find the link). Proper custom job with a whole new roof and rear 3/4. Painstakingly hand made.

It looked worse than the original and all you gained was a sunroof that slid into the bootlid.

Still worth it for the wheels and interior at the current price though (about 400 notes)

Given what these go for in good condition, probably somewhat of a bargain
