Where's the bargains thread? I recently had a thing for these - one in better nick went for a bag at a classic auction and a local flipper put one in pristine nick up for 3grand, took months to sell with him incrementally lowering the price.

I can see the appeal, but it's quite far down my trouser-rubbing list. I do remember Which? having a scoop on these in the 80s, thanks to shocking brakes. Can't remember the exact issue but I believe Changes were Made by Toyota.

My dad seems to spend time window shopping on carandclassic at the moment. Interesting history on this facel vega with at least one owner spending time “ shooting tigers”. Lovely colour though.

I thought they went pretty well. Slowing down consistently and steering reliably around corners/obstacles possibly not so good.

If you want elegance these are much better - but still a handful. About one-fourth the price

Studebaker Hawk (red) and Avanti - both on US Ebay. They are in R2 specification which means a supercharger. 

The Avanti particularly is good for 130+mph.

Car running, me scraping, car locks itself, bollocks😡spare key is in Reading, parents in Glasgow. Had to call the AA on Christmas Day and he got it open…..using a tool I later got gifted that day. Hated that car.
