As there's a fair bit of MX5 love on here, here's one in a decent colour with (short) MOT for £495.  Looks like it needs a fair bit of TLC/welding though (plus liberating from the ghastly wheels)...

Wolfrace Katana, I believe. I haven't seen those for a long time

I like Standard 10's for their slightly underdog image, but prices seem to have risen like everything else with a V5 pre-1980. This one looks about right with potential for improvement at £2,500, but needs an owner with an actual garage. It's not had an MOT in years either.

This is beautiful. 1972 so old enough to be cool in its own right. And even though they are almost exclusively ridden by accountants some harleys look cool, like this one.

Just kick start the litre v twin with hole in bucket carb and ride off into the sunset.  Simples.

If you can’t afford such beauty then I’m finding this much, much uglier sister strangely appealing, it’s proper back street hero’s fodder.  Probably the coolest a gt750 has ever looked.

A turbo would be easy* with that carb and manifold. It doesn’t run, but seller gives the impression of being enthusiastic but not very good so should just be a 5 minute job.*

See here's a nice 8 that reeks of austerity, rationing and export led recovery without a boot lid and black upon black interior. But best part of £5k to go very slowly and maybe trundle to the odd local car show.

That appears to have a Vauxhall grille fitted. Most odd. Nevertheless, I used mine as a daily driver and never had any issues, it's basically a Herald engine so reliable enough. They're quite under-geared (55mph cruising speed) but I suspect you could use later Triumph parts to sort that out. Still a few in daily use, so definitely not just for trundling to shows, but I think £2k is about top money really, for any Eight or 10

Perfect for 2021 then

that's true - it would have been perfectly adequate as an only car for the last couple of months at least!

Christ, I only sold it this morning.  At least wait a few days!  He paid £1,000 and I anticipated a £1,995 flip, but that's just greedy.  Sunroof aperture is rotten btw.  Lovely car otherwise.

He's being hammered on the Rover 800 group. Problem is, the 800 lot don't take kindly to people taking the piss, and word spreads quickly around the close-knit community. I've added my POV for balance, and hope the new owner doesn't get too greedy, and someone gets it at a reasonable price.
