Looks like it's been repaired* using some sort of adhesive Bacofoil and the remains were made into go faster stripes.

Floppytop Pug 306 with a range of problems starting at stinky interior, going through lacquer peel, and ending up with a borked engine that barely runs. in the plus column it is scrap value and the advert is honest. Cheap summer fun*

I think it's mini based and thus an a-series with siamesed ports but I'm not an expert. Those MK2 Cav taillights look huge on it, and the dash looks Japanese but I really don't know.

Quite a good kit the Midas in it's time.

I don't remember soft top ones, but there must have been some. Taillights look wrong as said.

Was sort of an improved version of a Mini Marcos,

That's an A series Long centre branch manifold. (LCB) 

4 CYLINDER 8 valve but 3 holes for exhaust and 2 holes for inlet. 

A bit shit but 1950s design.
