More interesting is the link This carries an OBL registration meaning it was one of the very first cars and registered to Mini uk for press, show or demonstration purposes

 

These early R50 minis are now getting an enthusiastic following and are becoming very collectible, they are served by an excellent owners club

That one is chassis number 315.  Not sure it'll ever be worth megabucks but look at 1959 (proper) Minis now.

All you'll have to do is wait 50 years.

Is there a way to swap the gearbox for a 6 speed getrag one out of the S ?

 

I have a 52 plate cooper S watch listed. Not sure why I didn't bid to be honest
