Fair enough, looks a tidy rare old car, been part of the family since early 70s. I like to see that.

 

But look at the strut-tops. Bolted on repair panels. That's genuine period bodgery that is, tidily done too, don't make em like that no more. Professhneeal but without a welder. Just bolts.

With nuts or just self-tappers? Who knows. Drive it down a bumpy road at speed to find out.

 

MOT man, he say no. Wonder what the plates are hiding. Last taxed in 1997.

Corsair has potential though if you want that sort of thing. Certainly re-use those top plates but do it properly.
