I rather like that Bug Bus. I mean, I wouldn’t be seen dead in it obviously, but it looks very well done, unlike almost every other custom Beetle. Apart from the wheels and the flames, anyway.

Slightly embarrassed to admit that I always fancied having flames painted on the side of my Morgan drop head coupe, I was a lot younger then

at last! a smily face festa ghia with a clean mot history!

dunno much about the yamaha engine used in these, 1400 in this case.

change the oil regular, and use the right grade and i guess these are ok? and there is a timing belt to deal with too.....

don't like the asking price much. but if this is aclean as it sounds i can see us changing the lexus for it.

If it's anything like the one my sister in-law had for about 8 years, you don't need to change the oil or service it EVER.

Bloody thing never missed a beat, only ever had the oil level checked when she came to our house ( 2-3 times a year) always took at least a litre. She abused it up and down the country , always getting a clean pass at MOT time- looked like a piece of shit as she never washed it, literally never in 8 years.

She was given a Honda Beat 2'years ago , so gave the Fiesta away , the Honda also seems to thrive on the same neglect.

Maybe she knows something we don't?

I love Facel Vegas and if I win the lottery one will be at the top of my shopping list. Not this heap of shit though, what arsehole chopped the roof of this and thought it was a good idea. Not to mention those wheels only in the USA.

Launch year Focus estate in 1.8 Ghia flavour - pretty darned good MoT history with minimal annual usage. £350 Leeds, ticket til end May

Just been and bought this, collecting Tuesday

If you remember a couple of weeks back a mate had a FTP in his Focus Estate.

This poor old shed is it's replacement.

To be honest its not a bad old thing, load of stuff replaced over the last few years, brakes (pipes, discs, pads, drums etc) Alternator, exhaust, battery etc etc.

It's a bit tatty round the edges, and reeks of smoke. the old fella selling it has had it for 11 years and has been told to give up driving.

It has an alarming wheel wobble at low speeds, so gonna swap some of the wheels around when I collect, and my mate has a replacement set on his old one.

But if it lasts him till the MOT expires it'll have paid for itself.

Hats off to the seller, he bought it home from Hungary, realised it had the wrong engine so went back over to purchase the correct one.

'there are only 22 of these left on the register'

Makes it sound like a nonce.

There's a great recent thread on a diesel SD1 on retro rides from a Serial SD1 licker who restored a v8 police car from a total basket case and has an sd1 drift car.
