does it run on veg m8?

(am surprised to see its a diesel, for some reason I thought all these "sans permis" cars where petrols, also says its Automatic?! guessing something CVT?)

but to answer your question, its the wrong shade of blue and has too many wheels :)

They were all diesels in France.  They were limited by law to 4kw (5.4bhp), and the only way you could get an engine to make that little power but still have enough torque to move a car was with a diesel.  Some of the early sans permis had 50cc 2-stroke Mobylette petrol engines, but they were fugging hopeless.  Yep, transmission is CVT.

Edit: there was one petrol-engined sans permis in the '90s - this thing, the Microcar Newstreet, powered by a mid-mounted 50cc Yamaha scooter engine.

my very rare 1969 mini scamp project

Is this really from 1969?

a genuine scamp that uses 1969 mini running gear

What we saying, a new mini was sacrificed 50 years ago for this?

Unfortunately it seems it has never been registered so no ID

Shoved between yards, gardens and lock-ups for half a century!!!! Now thats some serious shitin'.

I need someone to go and look at this and then tell me its rotten so i can stop thinking about it!!! Its only £300 and just going off the front arches it looks pretty good. I'm half tempted just for the 'screen and drivers door!

I guess from the grey over yellow it is ex British Telecom

Broken E90 for a monkey.  Seller is from east of Ipswich and his grasp of English is even more limited than his grasp of photography, but it seems the engine won't start - I don't know if these are the ones that do their camchains at the drop of a hat?

Drop of a hat? It's done 175k!

Also: if anyone cares to ignore "Arafwch nawr" road markings in the correct marque of motorised carriage, there are no less than FOUR Gilberns up for grabs on the 'bay at the moment.

CBA posting pics or links though, got work to do...

Think of it as an AC Aceca, but ugly and with 4 seats. The handling is supposed to be streets ahead of any contemporaries, combined with an engine that has difficulty pulling the skin off a warm rice pudding means they won't frighten the horses. Win.

The Kubota two cylinder diesels fitted in Aixams and others are catastrophically/fantastically noisy and clattery. A bit like a cement mixer having a wank inside . . erm . . a bigger cement mixer. I saw/heard one in Normandy a few years ago with no exhaust and my ears are still bleeding.

Brilliantly awful Xantia in Oswestry with a rear wing that seems to be made out of filler and sellotape
