Trouble is there's 38 of the damn things and they'll only sell them as a job lot for 1100 Euros each. Imagine braking that news to the missus.

We assume it has both wings and headlamps intact, these are after all tricky to get into the one frame....

That thing behind it is not a horse-drawn ambulance - its a Portafold caravan.   Quite towable with an A40 in case you were wondering.

Seller doesn't mention its the desirable Countryman model...

Service history?   I piss on your stamped-book FSH bollocks.    Whiffle-tree adjusted in 1969 no less....

Those Packards may well be good, but they're SO UGRY! So don't really care what happens. But, ya know, I'm a Studebaker guy, so...

Yes the '55 Packards were the '51 with an updated glasshouse and revised fronts and rears. It resulted in a very high beltline but by then Packard were short of development money. They made the best of what they had. They are real American Gothic - the top of the range was the Patrician. Packard were superb engineers and built all kinds of engines - post-war they lost their way.  Curbsideclassic have a good summary here:

There must be a reason people want to tow a fucking fridge behind them, then spend 14 nights shitting in a bucket in a field near Loch ness, but I'm bollocksed if I can think of it.

It may however explain the Loch Ness monster...

This has been tempting me on Facebook Marketplace for a wee while. Not sure why? I may be Scottish but know Bugger All about big old Volvos. Did spot it out and about a couple of months ago though. No MOT so am oot!

Powered by the PRV V6, which means marginally better performance than the naturally aspirated 2.3 redblock with 50% more fuel consumption. Also much harder to get parts for and a deserved reputation for OMMNOMHGF.

Have you bought it yet ?

I believe that makes no fucking difference at all.

It makes a difference to my career aspirations now I know drag artists are swanning around in Rollers.

restricted to 28mph and has a theoretical range of 30 miles on new batteries

Is this thing powered by a pair of AAAs?

I would consider the cells on this vehicle aproximately half used.

So it has a range of fifteen miles?

In practice I would advise against purchase if you want to do much more than 12 miles per day

That's a bit pathetic. How much are new batteries?

a pack of lead acid cells, which depending on your usage requirements can be purchased from aproximately £1000 - £2500

Ouch.

Reason for sale - the daily milage requirement for the business exceeds the van's capability

My daily milage requirement exceeds the van's capability, and I never leave my house.

The car will need a complete restoration and the purchasing of parts

Like bollocks it will. MOT exempt m8.

Not sure if this belongs here but its Rover/MG Demise stuff. It is interesting even if its not desirable I guess.

Its an MG X-Power SV-R - apparently a rare piece of kit. Ive never seen one before but the internet proves they are a thing. Interesting write up too.

I imagine that if i had one of the 70 cars they built, that I'd be very interested in having a spare shell.

Check out this whole new level of bone-idleness. Not only can they not be arsed to leave the house, they can’t even muster up the the spirit to get off the sofa. If you do look closely the 206 is there, to be fair, it’s just above the pile of manky socks. Astonishing.
