Ratlook Justy.  Interesting that the seller says it needs welding when there's no mention of it on the (relatively fresh) MOT.

I´d rather not say it´s for sale, as I´m not the owner, but someone in Texas has this 1980 Sebring Vanguard Commutacar F/S on ebay for 1 day and 17 hours more. It is an actual licensable road vehicle, if only this had batteries and an MOT you could drive it in England, I think. It´s a Limited: limited range, limited speed, limited seating, limited lifespan if you hit anything bigger than a chicken. Would be the funnest car ever for a 1st Date. Old enough to be in a car museum. Small enough to fit in the back a a fullsize truck or maybe a modified motorhome or caravan. 55¨ x 95¨.

 

Has that radical, streamlined, 1970s sci-fi look. The person electing to part with it says it has all the factory options, including the swoopy hockey-stick-looking stripes on the side. Reviews on this when it came out said ¨glorified golf cart¨. One wit noted these have a gov´t-mandated windscreen defroster button - but it´s doesn´t do anything except light the button. Has conversion to hand-operated throttle, but can be converted back to foot pedal. Thirty-some bids for this on the auction with the price climbing to 635 USD last time I checked. The 8 batteries it needs will cost more than that!
