I saw this Merc 280E for sale today. Last owner since 1991 who's died and his son in law is selling it but has no idea about cars. It all works, 135k with stacks of history. Clean interior but let down by some crusty bits, namely the rear arches and bottom of the wings and is looking for £2200 on but said he take a sensible offer on it to sell it.

 

Personally I thought it was a bargain and had I not bought the Rover I would have gone for it myself.  Yes indeeede eet iz in the gud owl USA...'boroughamisation' to bee correct - to turn your bland mobile with added geejaws into this (still goes on in Florida apparently)
