eBay tat volume 3.

You’d think he’d have hit that Merc up with the polishing mop at least before re-advertising it, it’s a day’s work and £20 in materials at most. I can never understand why folk think they can buy something off a well-known internet site for £X, then advertise it straight back to the same audience in identical condition for £2X, and think that someone will choose to pay double what they didn’t pay the first time round.

You’ve got to add a bit of value at least, unless you miraculously got a megabarg that no-one else knew about.

I think they bought it off retro rides so that one may never have hit ebay before. He's done an astonishing job of highlighting the crap panel paint match in those photos though. It looks worse in the ebay pictures than it did in the original retro rides one.

Agreed. A nice weekends cleaning would have made it worth a little bit more.

Look at this which has 13 bids and is up to £1,750! Has a 2l turbo in it but still? When Phil-lips (i think) one went for pennies?

the rear arch is the only part of the body that needs attention

but its no where near as bad as it looks in the pic

That place with the MR2 "Beach Buggy" shitter looks like they take great pride in chopping cars up and making them look ultimately fucking dreadful. Look at the Fiat 500 "pick up" in the back ground or the Metro Rag Top behind it. No doubt, all desirable custom cars...

That 190 is lovely... But one has to ask... 17 Owners!?

I must go to one of those auctions one day, just to see what it's like, there's some nice stuff going though at the weekend, the tide looks high on this Triumph.

Not massively cheap but gr8 if you like thinking about the apocalypse but are allergic to Land Cruisers

Despite the Turbo on that works, it's Speedo tops at 80mph. With the rev counter going into the tens of thousands, I guess it'd be wholly uncomfortable on a dual carriageway?

Upmarket Cavalier shite... Tappy engine and broken seat? They all do that guvner...

To be fair 8Vs rarely do rattle and if they do it's usually only because they need an oil service. A good flush or two and I bet it'd be right as rain.

Like most kei's they're not great on dual carriageways/motorways, they're designed as city cars, not long distance cruisers. My little Daihatsu is doing 5000rpm in 5th @ 70mph, but it's much more civilised at 50-60mph plus a lot better on fuel. They're fantastic city cars and can be great fun on country lanes, with the added bonus of surprising a few people at the lights.
