Come on then who bought the Bentley as it is now showing as sold. The prices of these things seem to be rising pretty quickly. My spirit I bought for 2250 and sold for 4750 after I had spent about a grand on it. I should of kept it really.

Sadly it wasn't me, I had to take the dog out before it got dark and got beaten to it :-(

Indeed. Although only on here would it be considered the path of wisdom to impulse-buy a 1980s Bentley sight usnseen.

This is Lord Stokes' old motor, allegedly.  My dad, a BL man (industrial engineering), thought that Lord Stokes was a knob.  Michael Edwardes, whom my dad admired, drove an SD1 Estate.

A fella who works in a unit next to me had one of these with the standard chassis rot, anyhow. Nissan brought it back of him for £1500, some youth collected it last week and asked if we could fork it onto his flatbed. he said he must of picked 100 odd of them up over the last year or so. 

 

Might buy this and ring Nissan, after I apply a salt solution to the chassis and let it sit outside for a while.

spares or repairs due to crankshaft failure where the number 4 conrod has come through the side of the engine. All engine ancillaries are in good order. The engine still starts and drives so can easily be loaded for transporting.

The other SD1 Estate, as used by Michael Edwardes, is in the Haynes museum, according to AR Online.
