Looks like it's been nicked in the past. Attention to the steering cowling which is the later one, hence the hole for the non-existant Hazard Warning Light switch.

Not sure how he got the light switch to fit though, maybe cut it out? Not sure, but I'd want to know the story.

Might be worth putting a cheeky punt in for that money.

I fancy the idea of one of these myself. What are they like to drive?

I hear they're pretty good but never driven one. I think the standard 16v Clio's a 1.8, these are 2.0's with 140ish bhp. They can't weigh much more than a dry rice cake so they must go some.

I was watching it the last time as it's just 5 minutes from my work but went for a bit more than I wanted to spend. If the outer arches and sills are like that I guess it's going to be a right mess when you dig into it so didn't want to go spend a fortune on it.

I really like Multipla's and this looks mega cheap. They're like a big fuck you to all all the boring Sharans, Galaxy's and other Zzzzz making MPV's of the time.

Yeah but they are total wank compared to most of the above, we've one in at the moment, that over the last few months has been a roller coaster ride of back arms due to shot bearings then a month later a water pump due to a leak followed almost immediately by the coil pack, then a few weeks afterwards a fresh thermostat which lead to the discovery of the thoroughly knackered head gasket, oh and whilst that was being done we found 3 cracks in the exhaust manifold.

Man, those collect the bits mags are a rip off. Says it all about the seller really. One day it clicked and he got the calculator out to find he had spent £800 on a model car. And he had to build it himself. LOL!

I assumed as a 10 year old Fiat they'd be reasonably shit but I still like them. When they facelifted it and made it look like a van it lost all appeal.

or catch you trousers in the wildly flapping chain. Loose fingers (sic) or just anything involved in a amatuer gluing a petrol engine and with it tall the hazards, on to a bicycle.

That's no doubt going to end up in a fire ball when a badly fitted fuel pipe leaks down someone's corduroys.

Doesn't look too bad to me. New sills, some work on the (trademark 90's Renault) wheelarches and you have a £2-3k car there. Bargain. I don't know if there are any other rust spots on these but it looks like a pretty easy fix for a cult car that can potentially sell for fucking good money.

Given it's proximety to my work I think I might to the sensible thing and and look at that Clio before lobbing a bid on it.

As you said Hillmanimp the Williams 1's make good money plus it'd be a nice car to own for a bit and a decent little project. It's also small enough to fit in my lockup.
