TTC Trade Cars Cleckheaton are always worthy of a nose on Autotrader. Not just because they major in for dispensing bottom of the barrel misery, but mainly for the laughably piss poor attempt at white rooming utter dross.

Check out some of these carefully prepared stunners:

I particularly like this one with the magic floating arm:

To be fair to the dudes though, you can't knock their prices. Drive this Xantia Diesel Auto away for £190..

Canadian falcon anyone?

You will never find another one as its the only one in the country and has a letter from the Canadian authoritys stating its one of 15 known left worldwide.

The original engine was a straight 6 gutless POS so I threw it away and bought a 4.6 fuel injected Crown Vic engine with auto transmission. This is included in the sale along with loom and ECU. I removed the engine myself so all parts required are their.

Yeah, let's take a truly rare survivor and fuck it up!

Mong.

I do seem to darkly recall that 12 inchers have a clearance problem on these, no?

no, its the 13 inch rims off of the Turbo that can have clearence troubles.

standard turbo tyres were 185x55x13,s and the turbos body kit was designed especially to cover the fact that the front wing wheel arche had to be cut back at the factory.

one way round this is to use 165x55x13,s size tyres on mg turbo wheels which will clear the body work. or use 12 inch wheels and tyres. these were standard fit on the mark one metro mg and boggo models.

It's been decades since I've been under a Metro but I can't work out what I'm looking at there. Either the gear change is just in front of the back seat or it has been converted to 4WD with the skinniest propshaft ever,

the golden coloured box thing, with the rods sticking out upwards is indeed the gear change.

the picture has been taken from underneath the front bulk head-front heel board looking towards the back of the car.

seen either side of the picture are the swan-necks on to which the front subframe bolts and onto which the front inner wings are welded.

the horizontal little box thing is nothing to do with the metro but is on the beevertail truck that the car is sat on.
