cort16
This doesn't look bad for 400 quid. I'd say hidden suspension damage is almost gaurenteed as it looks like it took out a postbox.http://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/2002-ford-mondeo-25-v6-first-400-takes-it/112999759 STARTS AND DRIVES OK BESIDES PULLING TO ONE SIDE NEEDS TRACKING DONE BADLY If by tracking you mean a suspension arm bent massively out of shape by you scudding a postbox then I'd agree. This poor old thing looks hopelessIt's only 300 quid but it's got HGF and the owner admits The bodywork is not great as the original owner was a 90 year old man with cataracts so pretty much every corner is scuffed . I bet his phone's red hot tonight. http://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/2002-rover-45-hgf-42000miles-owned-from-new/1002438048#gallery-item-full-

mk1_4dr
A little dabble of selfwhorage. buy the Whale OK, not trying to play stupid here. Wasn't this sold just a few days ago? Indeed it did sell, a week ago on Saturday to be exact. However, after a flurry of communication from the highest bidder he then proceeded to drop off the face of the planet for a week.Having stipulated in the original advert that it must be collected within 7days, I feel quite justified in relisting it. Of course, barely an hour after I relisted it the winning bidder from last time (a chap called Kris from Peckham/Lewisham), re-contacted me saying that he had had a 'family emergency' hence the lack of turning up here on Saturday like we arranged. He says he still wants it, but he wants me to hold onto it for another week. I've told him the first person to arrive at mine with cash will drive it away.

mk1_4dr
Nah, i hadn't taken a bean on it. I'm not really well versed with writing adverts and I didn't stipulate a deposit must be paid in the first advert. However I have put it in the current advert. My worry is, if I take a deposit from this chap (who disappeared once already) and then someone else turns up cash-in-hand, would I get shot to shit for selling it to somebdoy else? I never thought it'd be so hard to sell what is really a very cheap introductary Classic American.
Mr_Bo11ox
You would get a lot of shit if you sold it after he’d paid a deposit on it, well you would if I was in his shoes. But then again if he’d paid a deposit you should not need to sell it to someone else, cos either he completes the deal within a reasonable, agreed timeframe or you keep his deposit, so its in his interest to get his finger out of his brown eye. And thats just it. He was supposed to collect it on Saturday, 7days after the auction finished and the last day of the timeframe I spec'd in the first advert. It should've been gone and away. Instead, I wasted a full day waiting on him, I've had to let down the very nice chap who is selling the Volvo that I'm very interested in down the road. And now he wants me to wait another full week for him to 'make time' to come an collect it. Also, i have an itching thought that he's going to turn up and haggle with me. He's already tried offering me a knackered Fox bodied Mustung 'vert with a V6 that he values at £6k?!!
Mr_Bo11ox
To be honest he sounds like a bit of a twat, and until you get a deposit out of him he’s got all the cards and will probably continue to muck you about. Ask him to pay £50 or £100 and commit to collecting it before whenever. If he objects to paying, or messes about saying he’ll pay one then not doing it, he’s a waster so fook him off. If he pays up then great, you’re almost certainly back in business. At the moment theres no downside for him if he decides to stay in drinking stella and watching X-factor rather than getting off his arse and collecting his new motor. He sounds like you need to be polite but clear with him that you are busy and have not got time to wait in for no-showers so you have got to ask him for a deposit if the sale is gonna proceed. The ZF 4 speed auto gearbox is not fitted in the car but comes with it The LT230 transfer box is not fitted in the car but does come with it. The V8 engine is in car but has no manifold or fuel injection system fitted and hasn't been run for years, the car wasn't drivable when i got it years ago.
