Do you think Autoshite should be about cheapskate motoring, or obscurity motoring?

Why not do both at once by buying Jack Benny's car?

I would not hesitate for a Millisecond!

Just searched this thread for the ebay item id and it didn't come up, but I'm pretty sure this must have been posted already. If not, then warning to MarvinsMum - prepare for chilly feet - this'll blow your socks off...

EDIT: Would look better with the (proper?) raised character number plates I guess?

That's not a 318iS just a boggo 318i. Not a bad thing in itself but very different to an 'S'.

Yup-this 318i is missing

8 valves

51mm front struts

vented front discs

disc rear arms

at a minimum vs an iS.

that said, the old m40 8v is a decent performer if a touch tappy.

Mercedes W140 V12 S600 I'd like to own a V12 while it's still possible but not sure i've got the balls for these, for no good reason I feel BM ones less intimidating.

Fit equal length headers to these to get this:

Aaaw yeah, the GLS. That's the proper poverty spec model. You can pick up the nicer ones for cheap these days (ask me how I know!) but I suppose the only true autoshite option is the poverty-spec model.

This is hilarious.

Scroll through the photos to the engine 'fusebox' also, that mileage!

I like the boot photo!

I knew I was on to something good when the man I bought my Probe from picked me up at the railway station in a 306 diesel with around 500,000 on the clock. That is the kind of person I will happily purchase a car from any day.

To be fair if you put them on a Renault, it probably will save fuel ... as they'll cause the electrics to freak out and FTP.

Well gie it back to the large gentleman then!

TBF, I did too, it's all the way back to Custom Car 1973, isn't it?
