There's an outfit near Edinburgh selling those SA cortinas. Well I say selling I don't think they ever actually sold one as they seem to asking just above the sensible price anyone would pay for non mot'd cortina with no UK registration.

'- Designed and built specifically for this boat

- Tows like a dream on the road
- Total weight is around 500kg (weighed on weigh bridge) so no trailer license required
- A long drawbar means it's really predictable and easy to reverse
- Light enough with the boat to move around easily by hand
- When dropping the boat in and out of the water, well positioned rollers make this a piece of cake
- Jockey wheel and 1000kg winch included (with d-link and clips to attach to boat)
- Straps included to tie boat down for road travel
- Independent suspension on both sides with drum brakes
- Handbrake on the hitch
- Note that no lights are included so a lighting board will be required (could be supplied at cost), although bungees to attach it are included
-Jarvis Cocker not included'

If that actually goes for the£3250 winning bid, it's got to be the cheapest Hemi in the UK of EVAH!!!!

Even with the bodykit and grille ( which you could resell) it's still a Barg.

300's are rare in that the bigger the engine the more it's worth, and anything under £4K is usually a 300,000 mile CRuD.

Probably better for my marriage that I didn't see this sooner.

Parked by the road in Pretoria and advertised by way of a note in the window. I have the contact number if interested. Could probably assist with purchase etc for a regular.

1983 Cortina 3.0 V6 GLS. 125,000 miles. One owner. Interior cloth replaced. £1,475.attachicon.gifIMG-20160214-WA0001.jpgattachicon.gifIMG-20160214-WA0003.jpgattachicon.gifIMG-20160214-WA0004.jpg

For reference purposes, here's a Cortina 3.0 V6 still in South Africa that was up for grabs recently.

Despite the horrific looks, this is actually probably quite good VFM for 250 of your earth pounds

It's got the all important David BannernnaBanarnaramanananananabatman engine. But it doesn't actually work.

That crusty windscreen surround is the start of a lifetime of woe, the rest is easy.

I've only spent 4kg of wire on mine...

Fiorino pickup with plenty of test - could be a bargain.

Someone get on this!  It's only got hours left and really needs to be among us.

I quite like them and looked for one a few years ago but got an S12 Silvia instead. They only built them for a couple of years and people always said they're fast for what they are. There was a ZX owners club though I imagine that's long dead.

Jeremy Clarkson hates them, IIRC.

that crapi is fantastic,

i dunno about those wheels, but the rest of the car is very, very desirable.

Shitting Nora, I actually feel I should apologise for defacing the thread with this diabolical shit heap...

I agree, you should.  In fact you must!

Tried searching on the bay - failed. Has it ended already?
